    You also need to be aware that you will be unable to log into the open-beta using your normal login information, you need to register an account just for the open-beta.

    The Beta Server is a server where you are expected to test the desired new features of the game before it gets placed into the real game, this is so that bugs and errors can be found and fixed before it goes live with real boats. You are given enough pearls, cannons, crowns, crystals, gem bags etc, to have a nearly fully maxed out boat. After enough testing has been complete (in this case 1 weekend), the server is closed and you can no longer log onto that boat until the next time the Beta Server opens.
