Cannot board!

So as i had previously posted i couldn't board another ship! I equipped pirates, gear, and i bought the officer i was missing. But still the icon with the 2 swords doesn't light up!

 

Can I ask which boarding officer you purchased. From memory I think the HP level for your target requires to be less than 30% when using the officer purchasable with gold, 50% for the one purchased with pearls. Boarding also has a cooldown period (either 30 secs or 1 min, cant remember). If you definitely have officer crew and equipment moved to ship then you should be able to complete boarding on npcs or other players which allow it (have the boarding symbol on seachart). Also note that for it to be successful your boarding value needs to be greater than your targets.

Failing this ask mod or support to look at issue.

As your fellow pirate has suggested, have you also equipped your Boarding Officier? This is done by clicking the Crossed Swords at the top of the screen, then dragging your Boarding Officer over to the right hand side (you also need to do this with Pirates and Equipment).





Commander Level 1 (a Boarding Officer) allows you to board ships when they are below 25% of their maximum HP.
Commander Level 2 increases this to below 50% of their maximum HP.

When the NPC is below the required %, the Boarding Symbol on the left hand side of the ship should change color, and you should be able to press the Board button when you are sat next too the NPC.


If you have reviewed all these points and still believe there is an issue with your Boarding, please leave your Server and User ID so we can get this reviewed for you.

Its probably worth emphasizing the point that you need to be very close to the NCP for the boarding light to activate. If you are too far away you can't board and the icon will not light.

 

Which Ship were you attempting to board? Keep in mind, you need to be at, or above this Ship's boarding threshold.
