This has happened three times to me and here's what I did to get back on. Close the seachart window. Open options on the back page and delete all history (cookies etc.). That's it. No reboot. Did not even have to close the browser. I was able to log back on the water. Hopefully it works for you too.

i have found that if you minimize the seachart and wait about a minute or 2 and then max the seachart it works or do what redeemed said it does work its frustrating but sometimes you have to do things that dont make sense to get things to work it wont work all the time but be patient it works out in the end hope you all can get on so you may enjoy the event like i have been able to do

Thank you to Redeemed and Demon for their extra suggestions to help players gain access to the sea chart.

Whilst we are aware of several problems that have occurred since the sync this evening. Regarding the Congestion Error problem, if you get this please wait a few minutes before logging back into the Sea Chart. If you get sunk, please close the Sea Chart completely and then try opening it back up again rather than clicking to repair your ship automatically – it may take a couple of attempts before this works.

However if the added fixes from your fellow pirates helps please do not hesitate to try these as well. We all need to be aware that if you find a fix please forward it until the developers are able to resolve this matter for all.

We apologise for all the inconvenience caused and are working on fixing the most critical issues that arise.
