Changing Pets

When I click on "change pet" in the Pet Configurator and click on a new pet, the new pet does not load. I still get the existing pet. Am I doing things wrong?

 

make sure your not being attacked, make sure your not shooting harps/canballs, and remember when you change cannon set ups with the quick lists there tied with the pet ones.

Thank you, minigravey, but I tried changing pets while in the safe haven and my new pet still wouldn't load. Any other ideas?

Do you remove current pet first before equip new one?

 

You are indeed correct. You remove it by clicking on it.

 

Yes, Deloops is correct! I expect what you were doing in the safe haven was changing the gem set on the pet, but that doesn't equip the pet itself. You can change your equipped pet at any time, anywhere, so long as you are not shooting or being shot at.

Head to the Cross Swords at the top of your screen, and then go into the Pet tab. From here you can see your equipped pet on the right. Drag that to the left, or click it, to remove it from your current set. Scroll down and find the pet you wish to equip on the left hand side and drag that to the right to equip it.

Be sure to equip your trainers in the bottom section of this tab, and remember that this will only change the pet for that preset. You will have to change the pet individually for each preset but it will then stay there for the next time that preset is chosen.

I should hope Deloops is correct after all you do not expect a moderator to give an incorrect answer and it not be caught by another member of the team (and before we get lots of posts, yes it does occassionally happen).

I can't actually see the pictures he posted because I'm at work and they block them, but it was a logical assumption!

Next time is might be wise to wait to see the images, as your description is exactly as Deloops showed. Whilst I love it when pirates put themselves out to help other pirates, sometimes it is just a duplicate of what has already been posted by moderators. However Thank you for your time to post (even if your boss is paying .
