Chilling Brood 2018​

The event starts at 12 noon on 12th April and ends at 12 noon on 26th April.
The black market closes at the end of 28th April.
All times are local server times.

The Chilling Brood event features the following:

· 6 event ships (two of them are Admiral Ships)
· Puzzle with 6 puzzle pieces
· Event chests
· Event black market
· Event quest chain with 10 normal and 2 daily quests
· Two new designs: “The Renaissance” and “The Cephalopod” and one new pet: “Ornithopter”​

The Event ships “Leathery Egg”, “Rocky Egg” and “Covert Warrior” can be found on the sea maps (1 – 35).

· Kill enough of the two Egg ships to spawn the Admiral Ship “Primeval Hydragos”
· Kill enough of the “Covert Warrior” to spawn the Admiral Ship “Veiled Guardian”
· When you kill “Covert Warrior” and “Veiled Guardian” more of the Egg ships spawn. ​

Against all the event ships you need to use elite ammunition.

Additionally, there’s a puzzle with 6 pieces. Collect all 6 puzzle pieces (2 from quests and 4 from “Mysterious Gift”) to get the reward – the Cephalopod ship design!

In order to receive the Puzzle Pieces, you have to complete the Quests from Bill Barnacle Ballard. Two of the quests reward the first 2 Puzzle Pieces. The other Puzzle Pieces can be found with chance in the “Mysterious Gift”.

In order to receive “Mysterious Gift” you have to complete the Quests from Bill Barnacle Ballard.

If you miss out on getting one of the parts of the ship design, you can get them by trading in your collected “Bone Essence”.

Rewards from the event ships

· Leathery Egg

o Depending on how much damage you’ve inflicted, you are rewarded with Pearls, Cursed Souls and Reputation with Barnacle Ballard (Quest Giver).
o The player who inflicts the most damage gets additional Cursed Souls.
o The player who inflicts the most damage has a chance to get “Monstrous Yolk” (Quest Item). ​

· Rocky Egg

o Depending on how much damage you’ve inflicted, you are rewarded with Pearls and Reputation with Barnacle Ballard.
o The player who inflicts the most damage gets “Monstrous Yolk” (Quest Item).
o The player who inflicts the most damage has a chance to get additional Cursed Souls and Radiant Souls. ​

· Primeval Hydragos

o Depending on how much damage you’ve inflicted, you are rewarded with Cursed and Radiant Souls, Pearls, Reputation with Barnacle Ballard and Primeval Hydragos Blood.
o The player who does the boarding gets Primeval Hydragos Skulls (Quest Item).
o Every player who participates in shooting the event ship has the chance to get Primeval Hydragos skulls and blood. ​

· Covert Warrior

o Depending on how much damage you’ve inflicted, you are rewarded with Pearls and Cursed Souls.
o The player who inflicts the most damage gets additional Reputation with Barnacle Ballard.
o The player who does the last shot gets additional Reputation with Barnacle Ballard.
o The player who inflicts the most damage has the chance to get Inexplicable Notes.
o The player who does the boarding has the chance to get either Pearls or Gold.​

Veiled Guardian​

• • Depending on how much damage you’ve inflicted, you are rewarded with Pearls and Reputation with Barnacle Ballard.
  • The player who inflicts the most damage gets additional Reputation with Barnacle Ballard and the Inexplicable Notes (Quest Item).
  • The player who does the last shot has the chance to get Unusual Scrawl (Quest Item)
  • The player who does the boarding get one “Unusual Scrawl”

Event Treasure Chests

In the Event Treasure Chests you find many useful items, such as Burning Ice ammunition, Pumpkin ammunition, Cursed and Radiant Souls, Bone essences, Lebga amulets, Dragonfire, Elmo’s fire, Swiftstone, Bloodlust, Unstoppable, Tritons benevolence, Mojo and many more.

Extra damage

Burning Ice ammunition causes more damage against all event ships.

Quests

You can accept quests by speaking to Barnacle Ballard (on the safe haven). There’s a quest chain with 10 normal and 2 daily quests. For some of the quests, you need a certain amount of reputation with Barnacle Ballard.

The Renaissance (black market)

· Multifaceted Ruby + 19% Cannon damage
· Refined Rose Quartz + 10% Hit probability
· Precious Sapphire + 105.000 Voodoo points
· Unblemished Sodalite + 14,5% Dodge chance​

The Cephalopod (Puzzle reward)

· Multifaceted Garnet + 19% Harpoon damage
· Refined Rhodolite + 20% Boarding bonus
· Precious Aquamarine + 21% Damage prevention
· Unblemished Lapislazuli + 110.000 Hit points​

There is one new Pet

Ornithopter (black market)

· Shining Lepidolite + 10,5% Hit probability
· Immaculate Corundum + 37.500 Voodoo points

The event keys will be exchanged 1:1 for normal chest keys. Cursed Souls, Radiant Souls and Bone Essences will be exchanged for Heart breaker ammunition.

The exchange will run on Monday, 30th April 11 am (local server time).
