I did not know how to play Sudoku either (I had a vague concept of it). I suggest you use a search engine like "Google" and ask "What is Sudoku?" and/or "How do I solve a Sudoku puzzle?"). That is how I learned. P.S. These particular puzzles are known as a 9x9 Sudoku puzzle.:)

What letter is listed between the B and the 1 on the right side of the sudoku puzzle--is it an i or some other letter. Also, is that a g or a 9 on the left side of the puzzle? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Cruel Kenze, a valid question from 8luckyjack8, depending upon time zone 15th starts at different times.
Lilli should have made it clear, German time UTC etc.

    9 is the number 9,
    dark purple is a 1
light purple / mauve is an i

to make it easier the numbers are 1-9, you can swap the letters for numbers to make 1-9, doesn't matter what colours are changed as long as you have 1-9, when solved convert back to letters.

Thank you. Just 1 more please. Is that a 7 between the A and the B?

Yes. It is a 7. I had the same confusion as well. I knew some folks differentiate a 1 and a 7 with a strikethrough hyphen on one of the two digits, and I thought it was the 7. But I researched it to verify this (I have a lot of extra time that others don't), and a "7" is distinguished with a hyphen in the middle of the number.

Thought I had it. Unfortunately not. I give up.

If you are now clear on the 4 numbers shown, and you know the Sudoku numbers range from 1 to 9, assign the other 5 numbers to the 5 letters shown (I usually start with "A" if it's in the puzzle as "1" and go from there). Your "semi-final" code you come up with will be all numbers, so be sure to change the numbers that you assigned back to the specific letters, and your Alphanumeric "final" code should work. (Hope this helps you get "over the hump").:)
