Crystal Skulls?

I just saw two boats within 5-minutes time with the crystal skull graphic (see below). (I know - that's impossible, right)? This looks like an error to me....

 

You can collect a dry skull on the Dance of Death Group Map every 100 accumulations. The number of dry skulls appearing next to your ship will increase each time, with a maximum of 3 dry skulls accumulating side by side. The purpose of these dry skulls will be explained later.

You can investigate this topic; a similar event had been introduced in the game before.

Thank you, mates. Yes - knowing this game, I figured it was another "display issue". I'm glad to hear it isn't. (These things are so well *not* explained).

Crystal Skulls can be obtained as a possible loot from the NPCs found in the Dance of Death group map as pointed out by your fellow pirate.

This could be a part of upcoming event phase or perhaps a leftover from past years that need to be deleted.

I did ask about it but still awaiting an answer.

According to information received Crystal Skulls were not supposed to be there, all Crystal Skulls owner by players will be exchanged for Crystals.
