Cursed Light Event Ship?

I've seen thousands of "corrupted remains" and 'twisted vanguards", hundreds of serpent and scorpion's mark, but not a single "cursed light". I even centered my ship in the map chart just before the daily reset, connecting immediately after the reset, but there was no message on screen as to which map the "cursed light" was on. How can players finish the quest if they can't even find the "cursed light" in the first place?

The Cursed Light spawns every 6 hours and announcement is shown and can be seen from up to 5 maps away. This NPC has 500,000,000 HP and appears as a Ghost Tower (like the Serpent's and Scorpion's Marks), and can also be seen on the Mini Map.

My advice would be to work together with a group of other players, spreading out around the maps, increasing your chance to see the announcement. If none of you see the announcement, start sailing into each map and check the mini map for the Cursed Light.
