Are there any limits to player damage prevention?

My question is not about how much damage prevention I can accumulate. And yes, if in PvP there is any limit? I already know this topic. Perhaps I phrased my question wrongly. How does damage prevention work in PvP? If I can prevent more than 100% of the damage, logically, I shouldn't take any damage. Even so, I take considerable damage.

Have I expressed my question better now?

 

Please remember that your Damage Prevention is affecting your opponent Cannon Damage, and the same way your Cannon Damage is being affected by your opponent Damage Prevention.

There's no limit to your damage prevention, the more you have the better for you.

To give you an example:

Let's say your current Damage Prevention equals 110%.

Your opponent is using Cannon Damage gem of level 30 - which give him 30% additional Cannon damage, special gem Amber - +5% PvP Cannon Damage and Melusine Figurehead +5% PvP Cannon Damage.​

In this case your damage prevention would drop to 70% (as 110 - 40 = 70).​

Now, Rymar, I understand. But that raises another doubt.

And as for the base damage that cannons have. For example, a Lvl 6 WB adds 160 damage to elite ammo. Is this value unchanged by damage prevention? Could you answer this question for me?

Cannon damage value provided by your cannon's is not being affected by the Damage Prevention of your opponent.

I apologize for butting in, but I have been following this thread with great interest. Rymar: Did you mean: Cannon damage value provided by your cannon's (ammo) <-- did you mean to type in this word? If so, I understand. If not, then I am baffled too, since you referenced the "Cannon Damage gem" in relation to "Damage Prevention" earlier in this thread. (And thanks for helping all of us)!

 

Interesting Rymar. Although the FAQ is quite complete. It doesn't explain these details I've been asking you (or at least I haven't found it). Is the percentage damage that cannons inflict affected by damage prevention? For example, WB Lvl 6, inflicts 70% damage with elite ammo. If so, is that value subtracted from the target's damage prevention?

 

The*Defiant - what I meant was that your opponent damage prevention is not affecting your cannon damage elite bonus (bonus applied on ammunition).

Sorry ~xZukerx~ I am trying my best to explain you how the damage prevention works, to answer your question the Damage Prevention of your opponent is not affecting the elite ammunition bonus (from your cannons).

According to my knowledge, nothing associated with cannons (Elite Ammunition Bonus, Elite ammunition percentage bonus) is being affected by your opponent damage prevention.
