DeBuff Program

Has the Debuff program, as advertised, resulted in any significant reduction of Exploit Use.

 

Should both options be the same?

I would say No. I see more and more scars all the time. It doesn't seem to stop them at all.

 

I would have to agree with Sir Bawdyn......boats i seen on the water with the Debuff are same boats leading the event , and the some boats that are Botting are not stopped time after time makes me wonder why Bp lets some get away with it......*Edit*

 

I agree with you. Today I fight with a player. I sunk him. When his boat came again near to me suddenly I cant shoot him even I came close to him (in boarding line) - results were the same.....Scroll again and again. Cant shoot him and result was - I was submarine . So conclusion is: honest players must report this player to support. Why Bigpoint dont ban their shpis permanently. They got first ....second ...third scar debuff. And so on and so on we can see players with tent scar debuff (in near future).

 

the debuff program is not working any boat with any scar should not be eligible for any rewards,standings or such if your not going to delete them

 

The scar debuff system has done nothing to effectively punish players or reduce botting. And it is a load of bull to constantly tell us to report suspected cheaters to Support. I have been doing just that for years...No Effect! I see them back on the water within a day or two. It aggravates me that we get told this constantly, and it always does no good. (It seems like this is BP's way of trying to act like they are doing something to stop cheating). ***I can assure you that the company has always ignored cheating until recently, when their revenue loss from honest players leaving finally began to get their attention!!!*** They are hypocrites.

 

To a certain point it has, but nowhere near the clean-up project it should have been
and absolutely not in the area I would have liked it to have effect. Its still are
overweight of autotarget.....Because honestly, I don't care if people get free benefits in the game,

I can afford to pay for myself without lying there like a muppet with use bot. Sadly the bot kills the game.

Its like have an robot in your home doing all things for u while u go to work, go school etc. Its convenient and people stop

Aaarrggghhh! it is not working. Since i can remember, Big Point does nothing for the community that plays good hard hours of honest gameplay, and takes very little to NO actions against savages who put absolutely zero human hours into this tragedy of a game!! It's so sad. But on the bright side, congrats cptn. Defiant! on being the best scallywag! argh! hip hip horray, now wheres me grogg so i may walk the plank...

I must agree with captain Boastrike and captain Defiant, the program is not working. Still people are using the exploits and getting away with it.

 

I wish I knew exactly how - or even just "roughly" how - Bigpoint determines who bots. (This entire thing is way "too secretive" for my likings). If we had an idea as to whether or not they can actually "see" cheating (not using their "eyes" as I do) and how, it would bolster my confidence a little bit.

 

It's definitely done something. Ultra use to have 20+ ships on every map and now you are lucky to see 1-2.
