Double click to attack

Hello,

My double click to attack will work for a few minutes, then stop - I have to click stop attack, then attack before I can shoot, which is a huge pain when I am getting shot at by another player or trying to do the rift map. I tried setting up a button on the keyboard for attack and that stops working too. I've tried refreshing, and it will work maybe 2 or 3 times, then stop again. I have also tried un-ticking and re-ticking the double click to shoot button in the options menu.

This has been happening on and off since we switched over to Unity. I hope it can be fixed soon.

 

Not to hijack your thread, but I can't get several other things to work as well. I have to double-click to use speed crystals, amulets, can't get ammo to change over initially, etc. Have you experienced similar problems? Just curious.

 

Yes, I have experienced the speed and amulets as well, as well as not being able to shoot monsters unless I select a harpoon first, even if it's the same harpoon that was already selected. Someone in my guild told about that trick, as they had the same issue. I've noticed the speed crystals not working usually when I'm in the rift - when I need them the most haha I haven't noticed not being able to switch ammo right away, but I'll pay attention now to see if it is an issue.

 

there has always been issues since it changed over and im sure the mods and bp themselfs are aware of them it will take time for it all to be sorted out as programing does not always go as people want also i do no there are some faults with it but i just wait for bp to sort it out in time they will

 

I'm sure it will be worked out, but some of these issues might not be known to them yet.

I'm going to hijack my own post and add that sometimes when I click to chat my screen starts moving and buttons from my hot bar start popping up when I start typing. I'll click where you chat again and it happens again - sometimes several times before I can actually chat. Anyone else having this problem?

 

The developers claim that it should be so, with a delay in attack. Damn annoying when most fighters depend on the first shot
as benefit.

In a related problem, I do still have my screen just start scrolling by itself - left, right, up, or down - out of the blue! Moderator Swift told me a temporary workaround that sometimes helps, but it is a disaster in battle! It has been like this for many months!

 

I've had this too!

It only happens sometimes, so I don't think it's as it should be. I can be playing 2 ships, one won't double click to shoot and the other will. Go figure.

 

try playing one ship at a time it helps and as you seen above they are doing there best to rectify the server to make it right for all here

 

I always only play one ship and this happens almost every gaming session. My worry is they will not rectify it before I die. And that (based on life expectancy annuity tables) is not going to be for many years to come. Sigh. P.S. Thank you Strawberry for the many "likes" you have given me. I get criticism too, and that's welcomed. That is how we learn to improve.
