Download Launcher Fow Windows

SF/BP should ammend their Download launcher for Windows.
With their recent announcement of withdraw of Windows Support for Windows 7 and their support of the '7' the recommended system configuration obviuosly needs ammendment away from Windows 7!
Windows 10 perhaps or even 11?

I cannot afford to update my operating system!
Why has entry to the game now been restricted to the lame phrase 'You can play SF via your Browser? It has been blocked off since the introduction of 'Unity' and the joining the game SF Launcher/Client!
Pfft!...you obviously did not read my comment as Windows 7 is not an application relevent as a minimum system requirement as the Launcher page indicates cos the Browser route is closed off.
Even with a different Browser you cannot play SF with a browser entry point, Firefox - NO GO! Internet Explorer - NO GO! and as a further check - Microsoft Edge - NO GO!!!

First let me clarify, as most people are aware but some might not be Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 is no longer fully supported by Microsoft as such to keep up with the times and make sure the game performs at its best as well as on the most current software, Bigpoint has announced its move to also discontinue support for windows 7, 8 and 8.1.

This means yes, you would need to update your OS to one that is more current like Windows 10 or 11.

Though this can seem daunting most systems are capable of this, for more information and support please go directly to Microsoft/Windows.

The game is for the foreseeable future supported by browser-style gameplay.

This means you only simply need to log in to the webpages Seafight and click play.

This will open a separate window with the "On Water" game screen and you will be able to play the game normally.

If for some reason this is not the case please say so and we will try to help resolve this for you or you may need to contact support but we will let you know.

Yes Rymar...I fully understand the ramifucations of Microsoft withdrawal of support. But I am finding it hard to understand how I can log in to 'the on-water' Browser version of the game. As when I try this method what you say " About the game does not work - for me at least - I just get the Client Accept page, a dead end! No Browser version works for me, hence I have tried 3 browsers Firefox, explorer andMicrosoft Edge - so YES i would welcome some help to enable me to play via a Browser

the new tab that opens after clicking play should have something similar in the address bar

I have Windows 7 Pro Edition and use the Chrome browser. When I click on "Seafight" in my Bookmarks bar, I get the exact page pirate lude1962 has in his screenshot above. I just put in my name and password (actually - it autofills it for me), and wait while the Seachart loads and "Voila"! I can play. While I hate losing the Client and the browser play stinks, I *am* able to log into the game without difficulty using my Chrome browser and access the gameplay. Have you tried using Chrome? Also, you stated: ..."I just get the Client Accept page, a dead end!" <-- Could you post a screenshot of this? It would help myself and other readers here to determine if we can help you solve your problem.

I have just run a couple of tests for Chrome/Firefox and Edge.

All 3 of these browsers are compatible with the game and you can get to the "on water" game screen.

1st Simply log into the Seafight game via the Seafight page link provided (https://www.seafight.com/)

Once logged on you should see a regular back page similar to the client but with only one key difference there are two buttons as shown here.

You'll see one says "Download Client" and the other says "Play", Simply click the "Play" button.

This will then open a new tab and the sea chart will load, this can sometimes take a little time but please be patient as once it's been done once it will become quicker.

Thanks for your patience Rymar... I hope it does speed up ...cos sometimes it is treachorously S L O W. At least I can get into the game for now. I will stay with Windows 7 until 12 is released
