    What are the different ways to earn this currency? (I think the "League of Captains" is one way, but I am not certain).

    The better question is, "What can you buy with them other than another captain mission?"

    Ahoy Pirates!

    To answer both questions:

    1. Escudos can be obtained from Captain's Missions (main source) and all sort of Captain Chests (when opened). Please be aware that Chests provide only low amounts.​

    2. Escudos are useful when it comes to upgrading your captain or using "Speed Up" option. On top of that Escudos provide you with a possibility to purchase some items within Buccaneer Bounty Market - some ship designs, captain chests, dragon chests, repair cannons level 3 etc.​

    I've never had a Buccaneer Bounty, so that explains why I hadn't seen anything outside the 'Captains'. Thanks for the info.

    You need 10,000 of them to buy one Captain's chest in the Bucs Bounty, which prompted my question.
