"Forgotten Love" versus "Lost Love"

For a very long time, I have noticed that every time I use a "Forgotten Love", I hit for significantly less on NPCs than the "Lost Love" item. What am I missing? Thank you for your time and help.

+100% Rocket PvE Damage
Duration of 5 minutes

lost love :
+50% PvE Damage
Duration of 5 minutes

Thank you....hmmm...no wonder the "forgotten love" does less damage. I should have read it more closely. It's virtually worthless! Why would a player pop one so they could shoot rockets that do 100% more damage, with ships hitting for as much as they now do in one volley? What an odd item!

your fellow pirate is correct, Forgotten Love provide you with 100% additional rocket damage, that combined with Skull Ammunition bonus, skills, trophies and a rocket master can cause very big damage.

Well - now you confused me by tossing in items other than rockets. That isn't what the "Forgotten Love" description says at all. It only says "rocket damage, how long it is active, and cooldown before being able to use another one". How can the other items you mentioned affect this (these other items are not mentioned in the description)...?

 

skull ammo has 20% chance to put debuff on the target which makes him more sensitive to rocket,, you have a skill to increase rocket damage an reduc rocket cooldown, you have a trophy wich increase rocket damage on NPC. And rocket master (and the castle rocket rack) increase the number of rocket launched

 

Yes, you are correct. Forgotten Love itself increase the damage caused by your rockets (100% more damage).

You stated that it is "virtually worthless! Why would a player pop one so they could shoot rockets that do 100% more damage" - thats why I have mentioned other items which can be used to boost your rocket damage event more (this works great providing you lots of damage when you are trying to get an event npc on "most damage").

Skull Ammunition: Enemy skulls, filled with molten lead and sanded down to cannonballs. Very effective in the Arena; they also occasionally make your foes "Stigmatized" - much more vulnerable to rocket fire.

 

I have problems with Lost Connection.
