    This thread has an overview of the various classes of gems and the distinct bonus of each:

    However, it appears to be obsolete, as I noticed that there may be some better gems (at least, I read about a 22% cannon damage gem).

    If so, can it be updated?

    This is a task that is still waiting to be done. There are many updates to the SF bible that does need updating as it is a never ending task. I will add this to the list of priories.
