    i thought u could use 3 gems 2 upgrade but its a lower % to succed

    Hi

    You are semi-correct.

    You need all 4 slots filled with the same level gem for a 100% chance of success and you only need 3 of the same level gem and 1 times another gem for a 75% chance of success, either way; you need all 4 slots taken in order to upgrade.

    Hi

    With my personal experience with the gem cutter and with the guidance that the official announcements has given, I come to the understanding that you need 4 of the same level gems in the cutter in order to advance a level.

    For example, 3 level 5 attack gems and 1 level 5 defensive gem would all equal a 75% chance for a level 6 attack gem.
