What do the following setting actually do? I can't see any difference between checked or unchecked:
    • Smooth map scrolling - I thought this would stop that annoying map moving around with you in the center after changing a map or a favorite, but even with it checked off it still does that.

    Hello,

You are correct, Smooth map scrolling makes the map follow behind your ship - if deactivated your ship should be always in the middle of your map.

The issue with this effect being active (even if its deactivated) has been forwarded onto our developers.

When unchecked, this option centers the screen on your boat instantly when pressing the "to the Ship" button or hotkey, if checked, it will gradually move towards your ship when pressed.

OK, I misunderstood it then. It just changes how quickly it centers, it doesn't stop it from centering when you change Favorites or change maps. Is it possible to disable that completely? I only want it to center on me when I hit the 'to the ship' button and not at any other time. That feature is extremely annoying to me. I thought you had finally created a setting to turn it off.

Like stated in previous post, this has been forwarded.

Please keep an eye for patchday notes thread, once fixed we will inform you there.

I agree Bawdyn, it is annoying when you change your favorite or change maps and you have to shut it off every time. That should be something you turn on when you want it, not the other way around
