Now with your ban wave instead of going 3 maps trying to find a single person to shoot i gotta go at least double that. I think you should have thought about it about 6 years ago and banned people continuously. There would have been alot of good people who would have never quit if you would have actually kept up with it, not just once a year. Also the fact that your prices are ridiculously high for everything made alot of people go to botting. I'm pretty sure that back when I started and things were still cheap you made more money because there were 20 times the people if not more actually buying things. I guess being as most my guild have been banned and there is no one actually on the water I to will sink my ship one last time. More money gone for a game I dont see lasting another year.

 

It is a shame you feel upset at the amount of players that received the ban since the recent ban wave. However we are certainly not going to apologise for the fact that most of your guild have been banned. If a player decides to use illegal programs upon their accounts then they should also be prepared to accept the consequences when found out.

In my opinion any removal of illegal play upon this game is only a step in the right direction.

 

Yeah, come on man. They got what they deserved. You break the rules and get a ban, you should not be surprised or upset.

ive a question what about the rep glitch users who gained years worth of rep ranking points over night ??? game error or not theses people knew exactly what there were doing ...why was nothing done about this and there ill gotton gains they were aloud to keep ???

 

As you are aware there have been many glitches, these are resolved as soon as we are aware and we can make a report regarding them. To keep referring back to previous bugs/glitches/exploits that have been dealt with is pointless. We need to move on and this ban wave is yet another step in the right direction.

I agree there but why were theses people aloud to keep there rep ranking that's what I'm confused at ?
the step in the right direction in my opinion should of been in place full stop , but clearly was stopped during which time the catastrophic damage and loss of customers as lead us to were we stand today .
Any business knows customers don't play to entertain cheats this sadly has taken its toll on sf , to breaking point .

 

As we are all aware the rankings do not tell the complete story. We have requested that the ranks be removed for this and other glitches but unfortunately this did not happen.

However as I stated previously going back over what was and what could have been is not going to change matters. Running a ban wave constantly will.

as stated people don't spend money to entertain cheats , the odd ban wave in a effort to keep customers lingering on is old news ,I believe as many do all the rankings are now fake due to this abuse not been amended ! furthermore the damage has been done and bp will not reverse it . people are tired of the manic abuse and simply move on change games or refuse to spend .
this is my opinion due to the feed back ive have on ts`s with many players / guilds on many servers .

 

I am not upset at all about people getting banned. What I am upset about is it wasnt done like 6 years ago or when all the cheating started and people should have got permanent bans to start with. There are many games out there where people know if they cheat they will lose there account. Now people do it because they know they will get a slap on the hand, in another month there will be people going shiny to shiny and most likely wont be another ban wave for a year. Remember when the game was actually alot of fun and it took some skill when you could range people. What happened instead of permanent banning the people who used that range bug, they just took the range away which in my opinion was one of the best things the game has ever had. Remember the shrapnel bug, remember the skill bug, remember the cannon bug, remember the gold bug, and the numerous other bugs. What happenend to those people 1month, 6 months , a year, but they all could come back with those extras too. This game has just gone down hill with people quitting because of cheats, bigpoint not doing anything about the cheats, costing thousands of dollars to have a good ship (unless you get a Venny ship which in my opinion is still a cheat) Now there is just not that many people on the water so what is the point of playing? I think the only way to save seafight is to just get a retro server which I'm sure there would be alot of people who would have no problem paying to get a maxed out ship if they knew bigpoint would actually permanent ban cheats, and the people who dont wanna spend money could actually build a boat for free that could compete with the wallet warriors. But what do I know, I'm not in the business of online games.

 

I concur. To place matters in a nushell, Bigpoint failed to act in an immediate and timely manner with permanent bans which would have been a reliable deterrent to other would be prospective cheats.

This game could quite easily have been saved had Bigpoint simply carried out their duty and implemented their publicised promises to permanently ban offenders. They have not only failed the few honest customers who are left, but also theirselves personally and the company by allowing this problem to get out of control. They could have easily nipped the problem in the bud years back and prevented this downhill slide into a decaying game, which now costs the few honest players more as a direct result....never mind the old lame Brexit excuse!

 

what can i say. guess i dont need to throw 500$ in bokor to get my design this month.

 

kinda funny how there still out there ??? how does a so called ban wave miss certain players ??? constantly ??? obviously a pick a choose not a computer generated ban

 

GB6 has the same bots running in their predictable manner. Cruised the maps shooting and boarding the same ones. Dropped down to the 1 maps to do bonus maps and the same programs are running. Obvious names indicating what they were programmed for harpooning 24/7. I'm just using up my pammo and items I have left. Spring is coming and looking forward to ditching this dying game.

 

btw! A few big boats I sunk twice to get BP a while later came and sunk me. They must have checked their log books to see who sunk and capped them since they could of easily sunk me when I attempted the first time to sink them. What a joke of a game.

 

why are certain accounts botting there brains out day after day week after week ,year after year and not been caught punished ?? does there guild tag give them immunity or does this tell a very disturbing case of something else going on !

 

What is this I read that they only got a 30 day ban? That is nothing compared to what they have accumulated with all the hours of botting they have done. It is just a break for them nothing more and shows there are no consequences. Meanwhile there are still plenty of bots running. Is there some type of favoritism going on? What gives? Those who were banned should be permanently drop kicked from the game.

Seren can you please inform us what penalties were given for botting this time? Is this an annual event?
