How Can A Level 5 Ship Do This?

I know the extra buffs are for purchase, but give me a break! A Level 5 player hit me for 75% more than I hit him with my Level 51 boat (which is battle point rank 38) and has 622 cannons. I was hitting him for around 200k (criticals) against his 340k (criticals) using marauders ammo. I finally (and barely) sank him using the new powders, armor, etc., but this makes no sense. I obviously know what I am doing to get as high of a bp rank as I have (which is respectable). My castles, skills, etc., are solid. My gems are very good. Plus, he didn't use anything like a Captain's League maneuver. I am certain he is Level 5, too. Any ideas?

 

Depend for how long he has been a lvl 5 pirate, because he could have a lvl 5 account but do a lot of events etc., the same way people usually stayed at lvl 15 to enjoy the sun map, but most important a huge sum of money (or a acc with big discount at packages). So it is strange but not completely impossible, not with how seafight is nowadays.

1. Your BP rank has nothing to do with the damage dealt / received by your opponent
2. Your Pirate Level has nothing to do with the damage dealt / received

340 000 critical damage is not that much at all, everything depends on which preset you and your opponent used at the moment of your fight.

I kept my main boat at Level 15 for a long time, so I am well aware of this. I stayed there to be a "big fish in a small pond", and not vice versa. And, of course, I'm well aware a player with an unlimited credit card (and poor financial judgment) can buy everything non-stop and build a boat up. But something isn't right here. I've played way too long to not see it.

 

Oh me! That is just an insane comment from you. For example, a Level 5 boat cannot access the Genie's lamp, and has less weapon slots, since the player cannot get them in higher-level quests. You yourself said that the game was not designed to stay at Level 5. Now, you suggest that a Level 5 boat can whip a high-level boat, and that is normal and totally explainable? My boat is bp rank 38. Do you think I got there by being weak and having bad set-ups?

I won't waste any more time arguing with you. You seem to be totally inept at understanding a number of irrefutable points in this game. You may close this thread.
