First I do understand that if somebody puts a code/script/program, that resides on one of your servers, that BP can address them in a confident and efficient manner. What I do not understand is why players are alerted that specific BP action against exploit use will be utilized in the future? This allows players, who have exploit routines on their own PCs, and that are only uploaded when they log on, to take action that would preclude detection. If they were not alerted, would not the success rate of eliminating exploit users be better than it currently is?

    Ahoy,

I see your point of view, but here at bigpoint we're all about giving players a chance to play fairly, we aren't out to ban as many as we can, we want you all to have fun, and by giving the player's the chance to play fairly, it is then not our fault if player's are caught cheating as it's the player's fault for breaking the T&C's so just treat it as a friendly reminder, that exploits are not allowed in the game.

    Has this helped? :)

A freindly reminder??? are you people insane? ... ok , I'm off out to rob the local branch of H.S.B.C. .. i reckon there's at least 20 grand in cash in each of the cashpoints alone... hopefully if a copper turns up he will just give me a freindly reminder that what i am doing is against the rules and also the law and maybe just ask me nicely to put the cash back and be on my way

Or maybe i could take up boxing, put some razor blades in my gloves... if the ref discovers this maybe he will just give me a freindly warning to be a bit more discreet about it

These cheats ruin the gameplay for all us honest players, we miss out now on items which have been removed from the game because of their actions, we have to put up with them dominating events, we have to put up with there gloating in chat, if we mention any of this we as honest players ourselves get banned!

Do you not see they are taking you all for fools and you treat them like this?

Theft is theft... cheating is cheating... enough is enough, just ban them and stop making yourselves look incompetant and foolish

Once upon a time a person I knew, who was a notable high school athlete said to me something I believe was taught to him by his coach/es. "If you aren't cheating, you aren't trying." To combat this, there needs to be a zero toleration policy. I do think an investigation should be thorough to the point of sending mails asking about "alleged" cheating to ascertain all of the facts, but in the face of definite evidence and an explanation to the accused, they should just lose the account or have it stripped of ALL activity back to the date of the cheating, perhaps, for a first offense.

We are aware of how incredibly frustrating this is, and while it may appear that nothing is being done, I can assure you that we are making progress.

I know that this may not be a fully satisfying answer but I am sure that you will understand that we cannot give out more detailed information.

As this is not a discussion thread this post will be closed.
