Okay....I just saw this "pop-up" banner....I think I know what it means but I am not positive. So...what does it mean? Thank you.

People using bugs or bots are supposedly going to be banned.

This means that if a player is found to be cheating, they will be banned from the game for 2 weeks.

If they're then caught again, they will be banned perminently, no matter their status in the game.

    Does this help? :)

Pirates who have exhibited a Breach Of Trust (BOTs), will be shown no mercy!

Any marauders who are convicted of BOT activity will be banished for a fortnight as a first warning.

If they are caught again, they will be permanently banned from Seafight - no exceptions!

Put quite simply, if you consider how the (BOT) is emphasised and what it stands for (Breach Of Trust) it does not just mean traditional boats running around in a, 'zombie' like state collecting glitter.

Very importantly, it goes much further and now means ALL types of cheating activities, i.e. the exploitation of glitches or bugs to gain a unfair advantage in the game, or any type of illicit activity which is both detrimental to the interests of honest game players and subsequently the financial interests of the game host provider.

A long overdue and very welcome common sense decision.:)

What if these boats have already been banned for botting before? Will they be banned permanently then or will they still get the two week ban?

Please change your signature as it does not conform to forum rules, you have received a warning for this

This means even if a player has been found to have been cheating previously, and if that player is found to be cheating, they will be banned from the game for 2 weeks.

If they're then caught again, they will be banned permanently, no matter their status in the game.
