Just a little question about new players

Heya guys, I'm an italian player who was already playing this game (when the most damage you could deal was 6000 ) well, I decided to start playing again (in the italian server) but I noticed that there are few new players, in a week I saw like 4-5 of them, and that piss me off a bit, you know it's not really that funny finding high level players everytime. So I was wondering if here the situation is the same, or if I can find more low level players, as it wouldn't be a big trouble for me playing in english.

 

UK server is most likely even more dead than the Italian server and if im honest i wouldn't come here its full of tangents now - Maxed ships for 200 quid loophole, i believe the bigger servers are Global Europe 1, Germany 1 USA East etc

Although on UK server, you can generally win all elite crew, elite ship easily for 1 gold, while pdecks may take a few attempts but my baby ship got all his pdecks for 10 gold ish. While on global europe probably costs alot lot more.
Your certainly welcome on the server, would love some new players on here.

Also bare in mind this games 8 or so years old i was here almost from the start.
And to actually get anywhere... your gonna need to grind for about a year +
Unless you open your wallets, its not a game suitable for new casual players at all..
Its either spend months grinding or open your wallets.

If BP built up some really cool new schemes for new players hordes would come in and Seafight would become alot more vast.
Personally if they put a few ads up on UK tv American tv etc, they'd bring so many players to the game.

 

Think its pretty tough for new players to start, build ship and keep interested. BP has propagated a "sinking/fighting" attitude so many high level ships only value noobies as battle points and not sustainability of the game, so they get sunk all the time. Very few peaceful guilds around now a days which used to provide opportunities for new players to work and build ships. I personally believe that every guild or server should assign/declare a day of peace that is dedicated to helping all new players with quests and tests, but that's unlikely to occur. Bottom line, game has evolved into something it wasn't during the first 2-3 years when it started.....that's why many players have quit unfortunately. This is just my opinion of course

BTW I'm on US East and been playing for 5 years.

 

It is tough for new players to start your career at seafight ^^ Although i think like Stactic said the servers with the most players are GL1, GL2, DE1, DE4 ...

I started a week ago on the USA east and well it is great in there. I also used to play seafight in the past (the time that 105 cannons was the maximum you could had).

If you don't spend some money on it, it will take a long time to beat those big spenders ^^

If you play on the US servers you have an advantage The time. In the morning (European time) you can easily win all p decks for 5 million gold. And the crew and ship for 10 gold.
In every map you'll find a bunch of glitters. Which is great if you love shinyhunting.

Agreed, i was here then aswell much easier events to profit from.. well can't be anything easier than candy canes eh?
One problem i have heard with East is that half the islands don't have towers..
This isn't a problem on the UK server, but if i ever did become a tangent i'd go to one of the big servers, UK is quite easy to farm still got sunk quite a bit but no where near as many players as some servers. Also theres a mix of all nationalities here so its a decent server.

I kinda hope BP will decide to ad new content, e.g. new scrolls/levels/elite levels special quests etc. Rather than attempting to make this game as realistic as possible because if that happens the game will just die.
They need to focus on bringing new players to the game.. because some of these will be willing to open there wallet, it also makes the game more popular & livelier which will keep some of the veterans playing as more players to sink...

BP certainly have vast problems but they just need to listen to there customers and this game can be great again.

If it takes a while to add new lvl's, e-lvl's,s crolls ... why can't they add for a temporary time some daily missions you know. For the big players but also for the little ones to earn some pearls.

Or they can also add a special new map like the raid.

 

I am from Belgium and playing on UK to. It is a nice server but if I could transfer my ship I will without a doubt. I also played global 1 and I don't like it their because it is to crowed at the time I played you saw ships evry 5 squares.

I watch Dutch tv and their whas a seafight campaing and I have to admit it attracted 1000's of Dutch and Belgium players. I never saw seafight so full of players. The sad part whas their whas pvp in the 1 maps and so many ppl wheir gone in just 10 min.

If seafight whant's new players I personally believe they need to add and change some things.

• PvN - player versus nub should be changed dramaticly I believe a high lvl player whith a big ship should not been rewarded for 1 - 2 hitting a newbie.
• Rewards - Their should be more rewards for new players but also for older players. Like add a archeivment system that has NOTHING to do with pvp.
• More pve maps add some pve raid maps whit stronger npc's but without getting owned by players.
• Make things cheaper so they new players get attracted to buy instead of pushed away
• Update those graphics we are still sailing weird when going up/down/left/right
• Stop adding payment stuff start adding gold stuff
• ...

There are so many things that coule be better.
But he BP is a company and a COMPANY likes as much profit as possible
