Lost 40 Cannon Slots

I was down 40 cannon slots today from yesterday. It wasn't due to a SellSword expiring as the slots were also gone from my preset with the Guardian. I looked at the list of Maximum Cannons and can't see anything else that would account for 40 slots.

Can you tell me what expired that could account for this? Thanks.

 

jolly rogers, kings, sigma, and scroll buff you might of lost any one of them might be the case

 

I haven't had Sigma. What scroll buff do you mean? I can't think of one that adds slots other than the Gemini ones, which I didn't have. The 'deck' ones are all 10 each and as far as I can tell, I have all the same ones as the day before. Losing one I might miss, but losing 4 at once would be noticed.

I'm still baffled.

@Bawdyn could you please tell me how much cannons you had previously?

Currently I can see:

Attack preset - 536 Cannons
Defense - 466 Cannons

I see Attack: 581/541 - This reflects that I did have 581 equipped and there are 40 'faded' cannons on the left side

Defense: I see 466/471 now, but yesterday it also had the 40 'faded' cannons. I don't recall the numbers, just confirmed that it did show the 40 faded. I just added the extra 5 to make it 471/471.

Harpoon shows the same as Attack.

I have Queens, Kings, Jolly Roger, Heralds, Cabin Boys, Level 5 Sellsword (on attack and harpoon), Ebony, Ivory, and Voodoo decks.

 

Maybe lost Scorpio?

Dosent show on deck.

 

I didn't have that and it's only 5 slots and only if you have a Fishing buff.

Upon reviewing your account I can see that you own the following weapon slots boosters:

• Elite Ship: 105 Cannons
• Weapon Slots: 235 Cannons
• Kings Legacy: 10 Cannons
• Queens Legacy: 10 Cannons
• Jolly Roger Legacy: 10 Cannons
• Voodoo Deck: 10 Cannons
• Ebony Deck: 10 Cannons
• Ivory Deck: 10 Cannons
• Cannon Storage Ship Castle Level 10: 20 Cannons
• Commonwealth Sellsword Level 5: 70 Cannons
• Damage Skill: Extra Arms: 20 Cannons
• Cabin Boys: 25 Cannons
• Test / Quest Slots: 1 Cannon

All of this adds up to 536 Cannons (which is the amount of cannons you've got on your "Attack" preset).

The only possible "missing" buffs that you had could be:

• League Buff
• Sigma Buff
• Gemini Primus
• Gemini Secundus
• Primus and Secundus bonus
• Medal of Valor Trophy
• Rift Survivor Buff
• Scorpio Buff
• Genie Arsenal / Armory
• Herald Legacy

All buffs mentioned above are the only ones that are missing from your account.

Unfortunately I cannot think of anything else.

I have been in this same position many times myself (trying to figure out: "What happened overnight")? It would be nice if our Logbooks would tell us what expired. Just a suggestion (that would help us), since there are so many components to the problem (as you demonstrated above, Rymar).

 

When I loose cannons, and cannot figure out why, I go to maximum values in the index and see what items add up to the amount I have lost. Usually, it's a head slap item that I simply forgot about.

 

That's where I started, but the only single thing that 'could' have been 40 would have been one of the Sellswords, but since I currently have a level 5, it can't be that.

• League Buff - I haven't changed League so this should stay the same as before. I'm in Barracuda, so shouldn't I have the 15 slots for this?
  
• Sigma Buff - Never bought the package so never had this one.
  
• Gemini Primus - I've had these before but not recently, so not this one
  
• Gemini Secundus - ditto
  
• Primus and Secundus bonus - ditto
  
• Medal of Valor Trophy - Don't have this, so not this one.
  
• Rift Survivor Buff - I've never completed the Rift map, so never had this one.
  
• Scorpio Buff - Haven't had this one and it's in combo with Fishing and only 5, so not this one.
  
• Genie Arsenal / Armory - I've never had this either.
  
• Herald Legacy - I see this one and I see 541 total which is 5 more than you are seeing. I wonder why you don't see this one?

The only odd thing from your list is the League buff. Unless this is included in the "Weapons Slots" number, it is missing. 15 not 40, so still a mystery. The thing I'm wondering is if the glitch was in me gaining extra slots some how and then that got fixed?

I do agree with The Defiant, having item that expire in the Log Book would help a lot. Maybe they could add that?

 

You're right..the most obvious choice is the Level-2 Sellsword. When the guy I have (sometimes the Level-5 Sellsword) runs out and fades, I have to replace him with the Level-2. One thing I would check is to click on your "Crew" icon and then "Assistants" and see how much time the Level-5 guy has left. If he is gone, then something is messed up. If he is there and has like another 4 days left, then I dunno. If he is at ~1 day, it is getting close. But troubleshooting it and examining every item that makes up the total possible is the only way I know to do it. As Łé††éяš~öƒ~мåяqµé said, that technique is how I have figured mine out when it happens. (I'm interested in what you find out). P.S. You can toss out the Herald's Legacy. It's 5 weapon slots and 5 expansion slots and you should see the icon showing up in your buffs list. Or click on the "Overview" icon and then the "Booster" tab and you'll see it and how many days you have left. I have him into infinity, and I bet you do as well. P.P.S. Probably a long shot, but I just noticed that one of the Castle modules and one of the Skill Tree items add up to 40 weapons slots. You might check them too: Cannon Storage Castle Level 10: 20 weapon slots and Damage Skill: Extra Arms: 20 weapon slots.

 

I definitely have the Herald, saw him at the beginning of this investigation. I have both the castles you mention, Rymer has them in his list as well. Sellsword now has 3 days left. I got the 7 days from the forum game !3 days ago, so before the 40 slots disappeared. I did have a level 4 Sellsword at the time, so I had both on staff, but swapped them when I got the level 5. Note. My preset that did not have the sellsword also dropped the 40 slots.

It certainly seems so! A short while ago, I was looking at my 5 presets. I have the Level-1 Commonwealth Guardian on one of my 5 presets. The difference in using him versus the other 4 (all with Level-2 Commonwealth Sellswords) is exactly 40 weapon slots. Not that it means anything, but it did catch my eye. If I think of anything else, I'll mention it to you. Since your presets (both with and without the Sellsword) both lost 40 weapon slots, I think it is safe to say the Sellsword is not the cause behind this.

 

I can assure you that the number of weapon slots on your ship is correct, unfortunately I am unable to provide the answer to your question.

Absolutely...logging on and checking your log book for any over-night changes would be a huge plus!

 

@Rymar Thanks for trying. I had thought that 40 slots was such a large amount that the item that expired would be something obvious that I had just overlooked. Do you know if support can see items that expire or are they also limited to what shows up in the log book?
