Maintenance Shut Down had No Warning.

Usually when the server is going to restart or go down intentionally, there is a series of count down warnings. There were none for the one that just happened. Why not?

There were no in-game countdown messages because this was not a Seafight specific restart, but a Bigpoint maintenance period across all games for major IT infrastructure maintenance in the data centre.

However, messages were placed in chat over the last few hours by myself, and this was announced in the forum on Sunday the 17th of March, as found in the Server Maintenance thread.

For someone who is on the game as well as forum all the time, you would think that they would at least read some of the posts instead of posting opinions on here all the time lmao. Half the players cry about mods and such not informing players, but in reality they just cant be bothered to look. What do you want next time a letter sent to your house 6 weeks before the next maintenance? Give me a break

 

It was posted at different times in game chat when I was online

 

I rarely pay attention to the chat as its mostly nothing relevant to me. I saw the forum announcement, but as we are currently in that time period where North American and European Daylight Savings are out of phase, I wasn't sure what time it was going to happen (local time). Also, since other restarts and shutdowns had the popup messages, I assumed that this one would as well.

@jokar_uae Not crying, just pointing it out in case it was a mistake that there wasn't a popup message.
