    Ahoy,

    This value provides you with damage increase equal to the Elite ammunition bonus (1000 in this case) only when you are using Elite ammunition. This type of bonus is commonly gained from cannons and the Apatite Pet Gem as you have mentioned, and can be increased with the Ferocious Bookkeeper Castle.

    So - for example - a Level 4 Doomhammer has an Elite Ammunition bonus of 135. Does this gem make each cannon 1,135?

    Ahoy,

    That is correct. This then would be added to your damage output every time you are using elite ammunition (any elite ammunition, flares, snow, ice, soccer, soccer shot, etc.), lowering accordingly based on your hit probability.
