We have released a new “Landing Page” and an improved “Account Center” – this is the area on the game’s webpage where you can change your email-address and password as well as some other information.

Please note the following important changes:

• Initial Double opt-in: Before you can change any data (email address or password) you are first required to confirm your registered email address. This is very important as this is the safest way for us to ensure that you are the actual owner of the account.

• Ingame Username Change: You will now be able to change the name displayed in the client. This will also improve security as you can decide whether you want your login-name displayed or another name of your choosing.

• Password Change: You will be required to enter your existing password and then the new password (plus confirmation).

• Email Change: Only when you have validated your email address, you can change the email address registered to your account. After successfully validating the new email address, all further email will be sent to that address.

• Facebook Disconnect: If you are using Facebook to authenticate yourself for Seafight, you can here disconnect your game account from your Facebook account. To do so, you must use your Facebook login and password once.

• Newsletter: You can register here to receive or unsubscribe from the Seafight newsletter.

• Password Reminder: If you forgot your password, we now send a verification link to the previously registered and verified email address.

Notes:

• We highly recommend that every user, after registering for the game, use the email verification! This will make it possible for you to make changes mentioned above and it will improve your account’s safety.

• In some occasions you will be asked to prove that you are a human being and will have to decipher a “captcha” image. This will only be shown under certain circumstances to prevent automated systems from spamming the account management.
