The Official Announcement, Unspyable Usernames has been rendered to be little more than eyewash. Seafight Support has stated they do not have the capabilities to search or spy Usernames, including Usernames that are not UTF-8. The Feedback is: The content of the Official Announcement: Unspyable Usernames, be amended to indicate referral to somebody who has the skills and capabilities to resolve this problem.

    Ahoy,

I fundamentally disagree with your comment; while Support do have the option to search usernames, without a Server it makes it very hard to find the users being reported.

In order for reports to be actioned, submit the users User ID along with username. This can be gained by Alt+Clicking the user or can be seen under the ship. With the User ID support will be able to quickly and easily find the user being reported to change the name.

So why doesn't Seafight support do what you say needs to be done to "quickly and easily" find the user. Don't they have capabilities equivalent to those of a regular ordinary paying player? You do understand that what you just said is that Seafight Support is not as competent as those who play this game and they want the players to do their job for them.

    Ahoy,

Within Seafight currently there are 49,220,435 registered users, each with a unique username. Each account, can also be on up to 36 servers, leaving the list of usernames to search from between 49,220,435 and 1,771,935,660.

When you are reporting a user, simply including there Server narrows down the search, including both Server and User ID results in a unique account which can be found instantly.

You would like these usernames changed, Support would too, by submitting as much information as you can these can be actioned faster.

Swift, you may want to read what Seren said in the original Official Announcement post. Like I previously stated, you are asking players to do what is not possible as addressed in the Seafight Bible. You can bet that the player reporting the unauthorized font usage has also given their server and account ID when they filled out the Support Ticket. We play on a merged server now, there is no reason to believe that the font is not part of the server on which the player reporting it plays on. If Support cannot do it what makes you think a player can. The inability of Support and Admin to do what you say needs to be done, and requiring a player to do it is excuse filled eyewash in an attempt to get players to do what is not possible in accordance with the Seafight Bible.
