    Open beta new content update

    Ahoy pirates,

We will open the Open Beta test server today:
    http://open-beta.seafight.com
We want to test the whole new content update together with our players. There is still a lot that is not totally finished at the moment but we have a testable version that we would like to present.

Important: The most important task for us is the test of the new region: the Fenghuang area.

Therefore everybody should create a new account. All new accounts will be levelled up automatically (randomly between level 30-35).

Please find below the new content:

The Reordering of the World map

The reordering of the World Map is not totally complete but it works and the missing parts (like e.g. the Tutorial) will be implemented after going live with the whole update. Therefore we can already test it together with the community.

    • The Quests from level 1 to level 3 are just placeholders (for the tutorial quests which will come later) but lead you to level 3 and gives you some items.
    • You don’t need to be on level 1 to do the quests. You can do all quests even the Pirate Exam quests but you won’t get any level up.
    • To start the first quest, you have to go to the first safe haven to a new quest giver:

    The New Trophy Room:

Collect Trophies and Upgrade them by gaining Reputation with certain Factions. Each trophy gained enhances your vessel!

Together with the new areas, we implemented a brandnew Trophy Room. There are different shelves where you can collect your trophies. The Trophy system is similar to the Castle system: The shelves are equivalent to the castles and the trophies are equivalent to the slots. We’re starting the new feature with the Commonwealth trophies.
Here’s how it works in detail:

    • The Trophy Room can be found on the seachart. Go to Ships menu and open the Trophy icon.
    • There are a lot of different „Trophies“ that you can find in the Trophy Room. The only way to unlock a trophy is to fulfil all of the conditions that are mentioned in the tooltips that appear for each trophy. The conditions are always active and – in contrary to the quests – there’s no need to activate them by yourself. The progress is automatically tracked. As soon as you unlock a trophy, you’ll get a notification about it.
    • Before you can place the trophy into the shelf, the shelf slot has to be unlocked. The price for unlocking the shelf slot as well as the shelf slot level raises with each slot and each level.
Each trophy provides a bonus (e.g. a buff) that is activates as soon as it is equipped to the corresponding shelf. An unlocked trophy is shown as active in the trophy room and you can move it to the shelf via drag and drop. It’s important that you have an eye on the level of trophy. There are 5 levels. A trophy with level 1/5 can only be placed on a shelf with at least level 1. A trophy with level 2 must be placed on a shelf with at least level 2, and so on. Trophies can be placed in shelves with the same or with a higher level.

The trophies can be upgraded to a maximal level of 5. To upgrade them, you need faction reputation. Only trophies of the same faction can be equipped to a shelf. As soon as you unlocked a trophy, also new quests will be unlocked. You can gain faction points when doing the quests to be able to upgrade the trophy then.
Since there are more trophies available than shelves, choose wisely which effect you want to push with placing and upgrading trophies in the shelves.

    Fenghuang Area
This new content expansion adds 8 new maps and 5 new levels.
It comes also with a new “Elemental Resistances System”:
Elemental resistances first of all means that you can inflict more damage with the right choice of elemental ammunition: “Earth”, “Water”, “Air” and “Fire” against the new NPCs on maps 31 – 35.

The quest giver “Fang Weisheng” provides quests to craft elemental ammunition, but they require reputation for each:

    • Aqua ammunition - Monsoon Lords
    • Ignis ammunition - Inferno Overseers
    • Aer ammunition - Tempest Masters
    • Terra ammunition - Quake Conquerors
You get reputation by killing npcs of the opposing elements (Fire – Water, Earth – Air).
“Fang Weisheng” provides also quests to exchange Crowns into Yulong Coins
