    'same IP as yourself' this looks flawed, in UK 99% of users use ISP supplied router. All pcs connected to this router have same public IP. All pcs have internal 192.168.x.x.
    Only client code may have access to internal IP, but it is common to all. So there will be duplicates.
    The code should be to detect the pc's network interface MAC address which is unique, this will pose problem for browser based detection, but should be possible via client.
