    PHP AMS Update

    Ahoy Pirates,

Next week we are planning to sync the first PHP part of the AMS update (planned launch date is 16.04.14). This change should feature a lot of behind the scene changes you won’t notice, however there are a couple of things that you will notice.

Firstly, the bug where players buying a 2nd Buccaneer lose their decks / cannons etc will be fixed so that it will no longer happen.

Secondly and most importantly, the way decks are handled will be changed. From after the update, you will have to buy gold decks first before being able to buy pearl decks. Pearl decks will work as an upgrade of your gold decks (turning them into pearl decks). The pearl decks will still be in the Market Cove to bid on, however you will have to bid on the specific upgrade you need so if you have 10 gold decks will see all 10 pearl decks in the Market Cove at the same time. If you already have pearl decks 1 – 5, you will only see the pearl decks 6 – 10 in the Market Cove for example. Of course, if you already have full pearl decks you will not notice any changes. If you have all gold decks or a mix of gold and pearl decks, you will see the pearl decks you need to upgrade in the Market Cove as well as under Trader.

So to summarise, you will first have to buy the gold deck, then purchase the upgrade to turn it into a pearl deck and finally (if you want to) craft the Pearl Deck with crystals to make it an upgraded deck:

Gold Deck (for Gold under Trader) -> Pearl Deck (for Pearls in the Market Cove or under Trader) –> Upgraded Pearl Deck (for Crystals in the Crystal Cave)

As this change means players have to buy gold decks first, the price of the gold decks will be 10x cheaper than they currently are so that they are not so expensive for new players joining the game. The main reason for this update is to reduce the amount of bugs connected with the way the items and the decks are handled as well as helping to prevent exploits involving items on the decks, generally making the game much more stable than in the past.

As soon as this update is ready it will be put on the Open Beta so you can test it before it goes live. As soon as it live on the Open Beta we will let you know.
