Pretty Green Circle?

Greetings,

Yesterday I was pleasantly given a pretty green circle that surrounded my ship. How does one originally obtain such a nice decoration for their boat? Curiously I was looking for friends on the seachart and to show my new decoration to but everyone ran away as fast as they could.

 

There are a couple of items which can show as you describe; the Plague and the Contagion Curse.

Contagion Curse:

-5% Hit Probability
-5% Damage Prevention
+20% Reload time
-7% Speed
-45% Voodoo points
Duration: 5 minutes
Immunity: 10 minutes ​

Plague:

-10% Hit Probability
-10% Damage Prevention
+40% Reload time
-15% Speed
-90% Voodoo points
Duration: 20 minutes
Immunity: 10 minutes

The Contagion Curse can currently only be gained by using the Surgeon's Visage action item. Upon using this, you shall infect yourself, and any player who you touch during the 5 minutes shall be infected by The Plague!

The Plague can be gained in a few ways

• Being touched by a player who has the Contagion Curse.
• Being touched by a player who has the Plague.
• As an effect from The Soulless Admiral

*The plague is an infectious disease, meaning every player who goes near somebody infected will also be infected immediately. You can however save yourself from the epidemic by using the action item “Unstoppable”

Surgeon’s Visage

Description:
Become a plague carrier when you use the Surgeon’s Visage and gain the Contagion Curse. The Curse weakens you but you can spread the Plague for 5 minutes and remain immune to the Plague for 10 minutes.
