Pumpkin Festival​

The Pumpkin Festival Event from October 30th until November 13th

The Pumpkin Festival features the following:

• 8 event ships (3 normal, 3 minions and 2 admirals)
• 1 quest chain with 6 normal quests and 4 daily quests
• 1 new mini game: “Phantom Labyrinth”
• Gantril boss map
• Ghost Gantril group map
• Soul Chaser map (an extra event pvp map)
• 3 new ship designs: Gore Distiller, Mind Driller and Soul Killer
• 1 new pet: Stygian Extractor
• Event chests
• Shipwrecks
• Event black market

The event starts at 12 noon on 30th October and ends at 12 noon on 13th November.
The black market closes at the end of 13th November.
All times are local server times.


Event Ships:

Vision of Misery, Specter of Pain and Phantom of Despair can be found on maps 6 to 35-1.

All three event ships spawn minions on their death, Vision of Misery spawns 8 Pumpkin Kings, Spector of Pain spawns 6 Shadow Spider and Phantom of Despair spawns 4 Restless Bones.

Revenant of Suffering spawns on the Soul Chaser map after a certain amount of Vision of Misery, Specter of Pain and Phantom of Despair have been sunk.

Uncle Jack spawns on the Soul Chaser map after a certain amount of souls have been collected on the Soul Chaser map.

All event ships, minions and admirals must be shot with elite ammunition.

Pumpkin ammunition causes much more damage than other ammunition against the event ships (also on the Gantril boss map, on the Gantril group map, Soul Chaser map and “Phantom Labyrinth”)


Rewards from the Event Ships:

• Vision of Misery:
  • The player who inflicts the most damage gains Pearls and EXP as reward.
• Specter of Pain:
  • Depending on how much damage you´ve inflicted you are rewarded with Pearls and EXP.
• Phantom of Despair:
  • Depending on how much damage you´ve inflicted you are rewarded with Pearls and EXP.
• Pumpkin King:
  • Depending on how much damage you´ve inflicted you are rewarded with Pumpkin essences.
  • The player who inflicts the most damage and the player who does the last shot are rewarded with one extra pumpkin essence each.
• Shadow Spider:
  • Depending on how much damage you´ve inflicted you are rewarded with Spider essences.
  • The player who inflicts the most damage and the player who does the last shot are rewarded with two extra Spider essences each.
• Restless Bone:
  • Depending on how much damage you´ve inflicted you are rewarded with Bone essences.
  • The player who inflicts the most damage and the player who does the last shot are rewarded with 2 extra Bone essences each.
• Revenant of Suffering:
  • Depending on how much damage you´ve inflicted you are rewarded with Pearls and EXP.
  • The player who inflicts the most damage and the player who does the last shot are rewarded with extra Pearls.
• Uncle Jack:
  • Depending on how much damage you´ve inflicted you are rewarded with Pearls.
  • The player who inflicts the most damage and the player who does the last shot are rewarded with extra Pearls.
  • There is also a chance to drop last year’s event design: “All Hallows Eve” and Ancient emblems by last shot or most damage.

Quests:

You can accept quests by speaking to William Bloodaxe (on Safe Haven). During the quest series you also speak to Loreena Barrett (on Safe Haven).


The New Mini Game “Phantom Labyrinth”:

Once you have collected enough Ancient Emblems you are able to access the “Phantom Labyrinth” map from the Safe Haven by speaking to Captain Ravenbeard.

Your view range is drastically reduced on the “Phantom Labyrinth” map, where you find 4 npcs, one Boss and some moving zones which deal damage to you.

The goal is to kill the Boss, but before you can attack the Boss you have to find and kill the 4 npcs.


Rewards for the “Phantom Labyrinth” mini game:

You receive Elite points and Pearls when you finish the Phantom Labyrinth. There is also a chance to get one Lord's Booty Bag, one King's Booty Bag or one of the following designs: Headless Horseman, Terror Lovibond, Eerie Outrider, Mind Driller.


Phantom Labyrinth Event Ranking:

The Ghostfinder General ranking tracks the best times and has the following rewards at the end of the event:

Gantril Boss Map:

Once you have collected enough Ancient Emblems you are able to access the Gantril boss map from the Safe Haven by speaking to Captain Ravenbeard.

On the Gantril boss map you are faced with Emblas and the boss monster Gantril.

The objective here is to sink Gantril. After surfacing, Gantril summons his helper Embla.

Embla has two skills. First is to create a defensive zone beneath Gantril which mitigate the inflicted damage to the boss. The second is that after a certain time each Embla clones itself. You should sink the emerging Emblas as fast as possible.

Gantril takes a dive every now and then, regenerating himself – call him back quickly by destroying his „snorkel“.

The Gantril boss map can of course be completed with the help of hired helper ships. Two options are available to you here:

• Helper ships can be hired with Platon's coins:
  • Helper ships 1 and 2 have to be freed from traps.
  • Helper ship 1 sinks all Embla immediately.
  • Helper ship 2 heals you.
• Helper ships can be hired with Solon's coins:
  • Helper ships 1 and 2 have to be freed from traps.
  • Helper 1 needs more time to sink the Embla. You also have to help out from time to time.
  • The healing effect of helper ship 2 is lower

NOTE: The more powerful helpers you hire, the bigger is their influence on your final result.

The Gantril boss map can be finished in the following ways: acceptable (with the strong helpers), outstanding (with the weak helpers) and perfect (without helpers).


Gantril Boss Map Rewards:

You receive Pearls, Solon´s coin, Magical Emblems, Lords Booty Bag or Kings Booty Bag depending on your score (acceptable, outstanding and perfect). You also have a chance to get one of the following designs: Headless Horseman, Eerie Outrider, Terror Lovibond or Mind Driller.


Gantril Boss Map Event Ranking:

The Headless Madness ranking tracks the best times (only perfect scores count) and has the following rewards at the end of the event:

Ghost Gantril Group Map:

In order to play the Ghost Gantril group map you need Magical emblems which you get from one of the daily quests and with chance from the Gantril boss map. If you have collected enough Magical emblems just visit one of the Safe Havens and speak to Captain Ravenbeard.

The group needs to consist of 5 members and you can choose your role. You can either take the Tank, the Healer or the Damage dealer role. Depending on which role you have chosen you receive a special buff on the Ghost Gantril group map:

• Tank buff:
  • - Voodoo points
  • + Hitpoints
  • Increased chance to be attacked by group map event ships
• Damage dealer buff:
  • Increased damage
  • Reduced chance to be attacked by group map event ships
• Healer buff:
  • Increases healing with heal cannons
  • Reduced cannon reload speed
  • Reduced chance to be attacked by group map event ships

The goal on the Ghost Gantril group map is to kill the big boss Gantril. At the start there are Gantril and two different Tendrils. If the Tendril of each kind is killed the Gantril respawns it.

After a certain period of time every Tendril respawns a copy of itself. Every tendril buffs Gantril as long as it is alive. The red ones boost Gantril’s attack power while the blue ones boost his defensive values.

After Gantril reached a certain amount of hit points, he submerges and 4 underwater Gantrils spawn in 4 corners of the map. Gantril only resurfaces when all of these are destroyed.

As long as Gantril is submerged it heals itself – so you should kill those underwater Gantrils as fast as possible.


Ghost Gantril Group Map Rewards:

You receive Pearls when you and your group finish the Ghost Gantril group map, there is also a chance to get the pet: Doctor Sawbones

The Ghost Hour ranking tracks the best times and has following rewards at the end of the event:

Soul Chaser Map:

The Soul Chaser map is an extra event pvp map. Both event admirals just spawn on the Soul Chaser map.

To enter the Soul Chaser map you have to use the “Order of the Soul” item which can be bought at the black market and you receive as quest reward.

Glitters spawn on the Soul Chaser map which contains souls that give a buff for a certain time when it’s collected.

This buff is stackable but if you reach a threshold of 6 souls, you can no longer collect any additional souls, and buff then changes into a better buff; radiant soul.

The buff is only available on the Soul Chaser map.

Collecting souls changes the appearance of your ship design into a cursed or a radiant soul.

If a player is sunk or leaves the Soul Chaser map, a glitter drops which contains the souls that the player has collected.

A special zone appears on 1 of 4 defined positions on the Soul Chaser map where the players can exchange their collected souls. This is how it works:
A player loses all collected souls in that zone. Those collected souls count for the “Samhain Savage” ranking:

• 1 point for each Cursed soul
• 10 points for each Radiant Soul

The special zone stays at that location for a certain time or until a certain number of souls are exchanged. Then the special zone moves to one of the other positions.


Soul Chaser Map Event Ranking:

The “Samhain Savage” ranking tracks the points for exchanged Souls on the Soul Chaser map and it offers the following daily rewards:

Stygian Extractor (Black market):

• Refined Corundum: 50,000 Voodoo points

Event Chests:

In the Event Treasure Chests you find many useful items, like Pumpkin ammunition, Legba Amulets, Simbi Amulets, Tritons Benelovence, Pumpkin Power, Lionhearts, Voodoo cannons level 0 and some other action items. Additionally you have a chance to receive Mojos as well as Pumpkin, Spider and Bone essences.


Shipwrecks:

The shipwrecks must be shot with harpoons. Items such as Pumpkin ammunition, Armor plates, Black powder, Hailstorm, Voodoo cannons level 0 and Crystals can be obtained from the shipwrecks.


Black Market:

You can buy the latest pet: “Stygian Extractor” or the new design: “Gore Distiller” as well as old event designs and pets (Spectral Herald, Jack, Revento, Infernos, November Coming Fire, Bartholomew, Immortur, Doombearer, Ghost Bride, Soul Catcher) on the black market with Pumpkin, Spider and Bone essences. During the event you can also buy Event Keys, Pumpkin ammunition and different buff items on the black market.


Post Event Compensation:

The Pumpkin, Spider and Bone essences will be exchanged for ammunition at the end of the event. The Event Keys will be exchanged 1:1 for normal chest keys.

There are unspeakable things even I am not prepared for and sailors have spoken of a strange knocking coming from chest, cast adrift on the oceans. I have no skill in battling some monsters, but Loreena does and if you gather these chests and return to her she will free them of their curse, so you can take the contents inside.

Description:
The executioner is right, there is a curse coming and one that may engulf the oceans. As with the ticking of a clock, we watch the hands slowly head towards our destiny. Description:
You return, but from your visage, nothing is good. It seems almost as if the very fabric of the world we know is being battered by the stormy waves of the undead. I had heard of the Black Toll before, but merely as a legend to scare, not knowing anything of their machinations in the real world. Yet, I’m sure Loreena would say that dismissing these fears was a foolish act!

Description:
There is something else here, some touch of evil that I have sensed before. Something from my childhood. I’d thought that someone had been meddling on the periphery and influencing the path of the world and it appears I was right. The Kadurum Y’Ka have controlled one of the loci of the Map of Forever and this is where disaster reigns.

Have you touched a soul, captain? It is cold, like the heart of the North Star, which only shines at winter. Ballard would say that all stars are like burning fires, but I know that the North Star is different. Ha! She sends me the souls to be freed, as this is my role for the unjust. Perhaps granting me balance, freeing the trapped souls cleansing my own.
