Why is it that damage varies on hit despite having 100%+ accuracy, I get that players and certain NPCs have dodge chance but the damage varies even when there's no dodge chance.

Could someone explain this to me.

    Ahoy,

This happens because after the damage has been calculated, you will then get a random amount of Hit Probability between 0% and 5% added. This mechanic is to causes the damage variation and also slightly increases your damage.

    Example 1:

The player has 60% Hit Probability, the Target has 10% Dodge.
The Targets Dodge will be subtracted from the Hit Probability, making 50% total. You will then be given 0-5% random Hit Probability, making the value range from 50% to 55%. The rest of the damage calculation is worked out and your damage output is calculated.

    Example 2:

The player has 140% Hit Probability, the Target has 120% Dodge.
The Targets Dodge will be subtracted from the Hit Probability, making 120% total. You are only allowed to have 100%, so this is lowered to 100% Hit Probability. You will then be given 0-5% random Hit Probability, making the value range from 100% to 105%. The rest of the damage calculation is worked out and your damage output is calculated.

Has this helped resolve your query?

Yeah thanks that answers my question, so basically if you calculate damage it acts as a minimum, I get it :)
