how does range work when you have a mix of 60s, 55s, 50s, and 30 pound cannons? is your range the range of your worst cannon?

The range of your shortest cannon is your range I believe please correct me if I am wrong.

i think in case you got the 30 ponders , u must stick with the 30 ponder range or else will not fire
so you still need to stay close , if you over range the 50, 55 and 60 will work and the 30 will not
hope you understand my point and hope this helped you

Bahaa I have a mix, yet if i go past a certain range no cannons fire at all (It's either they all fire, or none do). I'm guessing they perhaps average the range of all your cannons together to determine a single set range that your ship has?

    Hi, Mary-Weather.

Thank you all for contrubuting to the answer for this question.

Range does indeed average out. For example, if you have full 60 pounders and removed one and put on a 50 pounder, your range would now just be a hair shorter than somebody with full 60 pounders.

Please let me know if this answers your question.
