    Just a general question, whats the cargo or rum barrels in maps 3 thur 10. and what benefit do they give if any?

    He's right. The boxes themselves do not give you anything apart from the ones you find in Maps 21 and above. 22/1 has the most of these. They are a quest item for the Vovoi Quest-Line as stated above.
