    Hi I am a returning player, haven't played in a long time and I was just wondering if I have to buy pearl sails every time I get sunked?

    Hey ,

    i would go with gold sails first , you may aswell try to get Sailmaker ( crew member ).

    Kruchy is correct, I would stay with gold sails until you collect the Sailmaker.

    In case you have not read that link that Kruchy gave for the Sailmaker, he protects and instantly repairs your sails for free, meaning you will never lose your sails from being sunk. He can be collected in chests, and will last for as long as your premium is active, much the same as all elite crew.

    He also only repairs for free if having premium if not takes pearls from you to repair them. Have not seen anywhere in forums that he repairs for free without premium.

    Evil is correct, it is only free if you have premium. From chest hunting however you will be able to pick up premium and the Sail Maker fairly quickly.
