One additional comment (from my previous "dodge chance" thread) regarding my screenshot showing +620 Speed during "Stage 2 - Light of Tortuga". If my normal ship speed is 1,000 (for example), then "+620" is a 62% increase in ship speed. There is no way that my ship is increasing in speed anywhere close to that much. You stated (before closing my thread) that the changes in speed were "small". A change of 62% is not a small one! I don't see how you can state it is working correctly. Something isn't correct. (And I do appreciate your time).

    Hello there Pirate,

Thankyou for the information you have provided, I will look further into this aspect of the light of Tortuga and carry out some testing and get back to you when I have some clear results.

The light phase 1 also says it adds 2 million HP, but it only adds one.

Okay - I have another theory on this, and it may save Mr-Amber time looking into this. First - for reference - I reposted that weird "Stage 2 Buff - Light of Tortuga" screenshot below. Second - I posted underneath it the Light of Tortuga information from the Seafight Bible. Based on that original description, I can see how the LoT might indeed be working correctly (but like I said, the pop-up box when you mouse over the Stage 2 information - and maybe other Stages as well - is just flat wrong).

The one thing I do see that is stated incorrectly below (as of right now) is that you *can* use the LoT in Atlantis. And to my buddy Bawdyn, you can look (highlighted below) and see it states that Stage 1 gives only 1 million in hit points, and not 2 million.

The Light of Tortuga increase your hitpoints, damage, speed and hit probability depending on which stage of the item you are currently at.

If you don’t want to move to the next stage, you can activate the Light of Tortuga again, and this will restart you at Stage 1.

This action item cannot be activated while being in battle.

Switching to a map that is not a normal PvP map will make you lose the buff.

This item cannot be activated within the depths of Atlantis.

    Overview:

    Stage 1:

    1,000,000 Hitpoints

    Stage 2 (replaces Stage 1):

    750,000 Hitpoints
    10% Hit Probability
    +10 Speed
    -25% Dodge

    Stage 3 (replaces Stage 2):

    500,000 Hitpoints
    25% Hit Probability
    +20 Speed
    -50% Dodge

    Stage 4:

    You are destroyed.
All Players and NPCs within a 5 square radius receive 1,000,000 Damage

    Duration of 15 minutes

    Cool-down of 5 minutes

    Hello there Pirate,

Having looked further into this I have found that as you point out, there is a display issue, As previously discussed with the hit points element, Further to this it appears the confusion is stemming from hovering over the Light of Tortuga Icon as per the screenshot you provided in your post.
It is displaying that your speed increase is 620 and your hit probability is 620%, If you look at the light Icon ticker you were at point 62 when you took the screen shot.
If the ticker was at 41 for instance and you hover over it will say your speed is 410 and hit probability at 410% so the display error appears to be aligned to this number.

Despite this visual error which has caused confusion, my findings are that the correct stats are indeed running on your ship during the different phases correctly and as they should.

Regarding the SF bible entry, You are correct in pointing out that it states you cannot use the item in the Atlantis area, which indeed you can, My assumption to this is that initially when the light of Tortuga item was redesigned it was not possible to use in Atlantis, this was later changed but the forum entry was not updated.

Thank you for pointing this out.
I appreciate you sharing your findings and pointing out these anomalies which I will look into getting the display error corrected, as you have concluded and I can confirm that when you use the item it is in fact working as it should despite what the item display is showing.

You may also notice at the bottom of the Index section of the SF bible a footnote which reads as such -

Please note, while the information contained in this bible is as accurate as possible, we can not guarantee all information is correct; in-game values and workings reflect the true accurate information in all cases.

I see the HP on phase one is also related to the number on the icon. It now shows a 9 and the mouse over says +9 million HP. So, same problem. I must have always checked before early on when it was on 2.

I will continue to monitor this aspect but for now as we seemed to be resolved on this subject this thread will now be closed.
