Ships, Crews, Elite

The last time I played, roughly 4 years ago, there were different tiers of Elite ships that you could unlock by shooting elite cannon balls. There we also various crew members you could purchase for the best upkeep such as cooks, pirates, ect.

1. Has the concept of the game changed a lot in the last 4 years?

2. What would be considered full elite nowadays?

3. What would you consider to be the most drastic change to the game?

4. Do people still shiny hunt?

5. I remember the community was pretty good, and consisted of mostly older people (20+). Is this still so?

A small run down of the progress of the game would be great, I wanted to give it a go again as I remember having a lot of fun here!

 

Hi

1. The concept of the game is to build your boat and rule the 7 seas, much the same as before.
2. Full elite is subjective to own interpretation, but most would agree that it consists of 65 skills, full castles, full voodoo cannons, all the crewe members, all the damage bonuses, 13 decks, both legacies, elite equipment on your ship.
3. The most drastic changes to the game since a few years ago would have to be the transmogrification update and the AMS system.
4. I shiny hunt every day
5. Still the same

Game progress: Bots have been largely punished, rare to see any more. on my server anyway. Speed points have been taken away so you now lose speed at 50% hp. Events are a lot more profitable on the pearl side of things and with the crystalls, I can make 3mil an event and 5000 crystalls playing just a few hours each day. There's recently been a patch to change the water graphics and the harpoons have had a rename Also we're now on a new Forum, which has more features than the old one we used to use.
