    Basic shrapnel ammunition (85 damage) can be found in some treasure chests on the seachart, it can then be upgraded (95 damage) in the Trading Post for the cost of 1 x crystal per 1000 shrap.

    It used to be available to purchase on certain events, but that was a long time since as the cheats managed to exploit a bug that equipped their ships with unlimited free shrapnel. After that it was only offered as a reward in certain treasure chests.
