Skills crystal increase

I held off getting my next skill because of new format. However, I find that the cost of my next skill has increased by 27 crystals. I am a low -mid lvl ship. I thought the idea was to help players like me not make it more expensive. On top of everything else this for me is the last straw. Why is it more expensive?

 

They changed all the crystals around, some are lower some are higher however in total you save thousands of crystals by the end.

 

Yes there are winners and losers with the new system. Done a quick check between old and new. I found that skills 1-12 are cheaper 13-34 are dearer and 35-60 are cheaper. The 60-65 skill price is as yet unknown to me. I am sure someone will add this in later. It would appear the winners are absolute noobs and the more high mid to top level. The losers are basically the middle group. Whether this middle group account for the majority of players left or not I have no way of knowing. However, I am sure BP number crunchers as done the figures to maximise potential profit.

Each group has to decide for itself if they wish to pursue the crystal race or not for skills.

I do not know the increase in crystal packs but I found the cheapest way, if you must buy crystals, was through the crates of glory, 20000 crystals, ship and 60lbs etc for £80 v 5000 crystals for £99. Although it is rare for crates of glory to come out I expect it will once every one has slowed down buying the other more expensive ways.

Your fellow pirates are correct. Some skills went down, some went up. Overall, the first 50 skills dropped about 12,000 crystals.
