Giving the new increase cost of speed a mate and I tried what we have existing before thinking of investing into buying the same speed before update. Both of us have lvl 5 sails. he had 5 skills for +65. I have 5/6 sternpost for +10. We had a race and we both went from one side of map to the other. On paper he should have won with +55 over me. However, we both went at the same speed.

How is that possible?
If it is at what point should one see a substantial difference and with which item/s?

I realize this cost increase was under the misrepresentation of bots and speed points.In the former it has made no difference to the bots as I see them whizzing about, although thankfully very few. The latter there did not seem to be a problem so no need to change..

This change of F2P to pay as you go I gather has caused a lot of smaller ships to quit as the advantage they had in speed skills has now gone.

If there is a problem with the correct level of points being awarded, will they be fixed this year?
