Spending grog

    How do you spend grog, and what does it buy?

    Hey mate! It doesn't buy much. One smuggler gives you some "Atlantis" junk, and the other two gave me (and these were the best items I got): "2-days of the stainless-steel fortification" and some "bastion cannon upgrade recipes".

    To access them: Click on the Event icon at the top of your Seachart and then on "Smuggler's Dawn". At the bottom is a time counter on how much longer it will be until they appear (a 4 hour wait; then they appear for 30 minutes). You can watch the counter periodically, and when they come onto the Seachart, it will say each Map that each particular smuggler is in. However, getting to one of them to redeem your grog is tough. The bullies camp out by each one, and sit and sink everyone. You can use the Light of Tortuga and go invisible and maybe - with some careful maneuvering - get an item or two before your Light gets popped. But it isn't easy.

    Your fellow pirate is correct, unfortunately but this event is now over.

    Since the "On Dark and Stormy Tides" finished I'll close this thread.
