hello i have just done my test to get to 43 and i received the following

received 1 x The Lamp what is this for or what dose it do

 

you will find it in your action items section (blue star on your bar)

use it in 41+ maps and it will spawn the genie (dont use it by guild island)

he will offer you 3 quests, each quest is to hand in 10 safand coins

each reward from the quests are different and will give you a certain buff for 30 mins

there is a chance to get the following:
Genie’s Aegis +10% Expansion Slots
Genie’s Aim +25% Critical Hit Probability and +50% Critical Damage
Genie’s Arsenal +10% Weapon Slots
Genie’s Celerity +10% Speed
Genie’s Luck +10% Crown Loot Bonus
Genie’s Mirage +50% Dodge Chance
Genie’s Roar +25% Cannon Damage
Genie’s Sabotage +50% Damage vs Buildings
Genie’s Vigor +10% Hitpoints

your fellow pirate is partialy right.

The Lamp is an item that upon activation summon a Djinn quest giver which offers you 3 (out of 9) different random quests.

Each of quest have their own name and reward. (your quest is simply a trade between you and npc which cost you 10 Safanad Coins for 30 min of a buff).

Your fellow pirate entry with buff description seems to be outdated.

This is the correct list of buffs that you can get:

Genie’s Roar (+25% Cannon damage)
Genie’s Mirage (+25% Dodge chance)
Genie’s Arsenal (+10% Weapon slots)
Genie’s Celerity (+10% Speed)
Genie’s Aegis (+10% Expansions slots)
Genie’s Luck (+10% Crown Loot)
Genie’s Sabotage (+33% Damage vs buildings)
Genie’s Virgo (+10% Hitpoints)
Genie’s Aim (+13% Critical hit probability, +25% Critical damage)
