On day 2 or 3 of the event there were some small patches applied that allowed me to buy a total of 435 overlord lv 4 , I thought this was them adding more cannons to the shop but it was a bug. So they next day they took 210 overlords away , as it should be. It was a mistake and we both knew it so no problem. But now a week later you say 'oh it was meant to be 1 cannon instead of 15' How? Show us how you made this mistake because I dont believe a word of it. Your loyal fanbase has put up with your imcompentence for years and you repay us like this? Might as well close the servers cuz they will be empty soon .

First was that problem you could buy 30x15 cannons
Than they take the 225 of your ship.
Now is there again a mistake 15x15 cannons should be 1x15.

I agree with most of the players, you CAN'T take away the already given cannons.

At least bp could mantain the possibility to purchase 225 cannons, with the same price, so It'd be worth to grind and farm the event.

 

You guys still don't understand, right?
They can do anything, and they have showed us years ago.
Botters can keep their stuff for event rankings all the time, no problem, right?
Using bots or any software is also a direct violation of terms and conditions, and must be punished by permanent ban, no question!
But they can keep the stuff, because bigpoint are making a joke of themselfs.
What they are signaling to us is "As long as you spend, you can ignore the rules and do whatever you want" (And they have the audacity to talk about fair play and competition, huh?)
The thing is, if you want change, stop spending! Why would you give them your hard earned money if they treat you this badly?
Secondly, if you know they are treating you bad and still spending, don't complain. That's all guys... that's all!

I belive that BP are in violations of your own ToS, and the eu legislation on web sales.

So how do i get in contact with the legal deparment of BP?

 

removing the canon we buy was a big mistake. people have like 600 canon, farming 200 canon in a event is really not that bad. Seafight need to reconfigure all the package.

I have no words. This is a very obvious statement about how BigPoint feels about it's player base. This is simply unbelievable.
You cannot claim this was a "bug" or mistake after running the market for almost a week, fixing an actual bug with the same package, and actually changing the event currency required to buy the package. BigPoint came to the conclusion they were a bit to generous with their original market offering and decided to retroactively alter accounts.

One could even claim this package was setup with malicious intend by BigPoint.
- Lure people in to become active and grind the event currency over a week. Investing serious time to be able to afford the market place offerings.
- Lure people in to buy the candy canes and pull a bait and switch with the reward.

The people who bought the candy cane packages have been straight up scammed. BigPoint and all its representatives should be deeply ashamed. My only conclusion is that BigPoint is morally and ethically bankrupt.

Personally I cannot support a company which maliciously scams its playerbase/customers. So my Seafight adventure ends here. It was an honor to share the seas with all you pirates. Hopefully we meet again somewhere else.

I was somewhat surprised that the Event cannons offered for purchase with gingerbreads/candy canes were of that high level and that large of a quantity. But I just figured that since this game is nearing the end of its "life cycle", BP must be throwing us some freebies. (I did think that the players who spent a lot of money recently were probably mad at this).

It is very unfortunate that our Christmas Event has been marred by such a careless error. Perhaps the developers (and their managers) will learn from this public relations nightmare. And for those players threatening legal recourse, get realistic! By the agreements you signed to play this game, you have to go to Germany for any legal venue, and nobody in their right mind is going to spend thousands to "right a wrong" on a video game.

 

That option has always existed. And it is only effective when carried out by a very large number of customers over a long period of time. If a few players hold back a few hundred dollars in spending, they aren't going to even feel it.
