The Game Gives Way Too Much Gold Now.

Rarely would a player complain about having too much of a game asset, but I am doing so. I have consistently played for over 14 years. My own guild has just myself in it. My total gold from when I started the guild has the current amount below:



So - it took me 14 years to get 76.7 billion in guild gold, playing solo. (My guild tax rate is maxed out at 10%). My guld tax last night is below:

Today, I have played for 90 minutes (as I type this) in the "Lost Fleet" maps. I have a bit over 33 billion gold. That's about 6 billion I have capped in 90 minutes. I know we have players running on autopilot, but wow - this is absurd! That's my feedback, for what it is worth. Thank you.

P.S. Less than 30 minutes later (see below). My gold is now 37.5 billion. Jeepers. (I rest my case).

It took you that long because you did not carry large amounts of gold for that past 14 years.

There is no issue with the amount of gold given by NPCs - this is intended.

Gold for years now do not play a major role within the game anyway.

With the quantities of items available for bidding recently increased in the Market Cove, gold has gained in value. But I know what you say has been often said by players. If that is 100% true though, why not just get rid of gold as a currency?

 

This was - in fact - a suggestion, however gold is useful in early stage of the game (gold weapon / extension slots, sails etc.) therefore the gold as currency will not be removed.
