    Questions and Answers

What are the start and end dates of the event?

The event will start at 12 noon (local server time) on 18th March and end at 12 noon (local server time) on 28th March. The Black Market will be open until 12 noon (LST) on 1st April.

What event NPCs will I find on the Sea Chart?

During the Great Pack Hunt you will find several event NPCs on the Sea Chart, some of which look the same but have different names.

    Atalan and Atalanta

Both of these NPCs can be shot with gold ammo. Atalan will sail over all maps whilst Atalanta will only sail from maps 1 – 5. If a player with a Pirate Level from 6 – 20 sinks the Atalanta NPC, they will only get gold as a reward. Both NPCs will give rewards based on Damage Share as long as the players make at least 15% damage against them. They will give Cursed Souls and drop items such as Kraken Ammo, Mojos, Black Powder and Crystals.

    Acheloos and Acheloosos

Both of these NPCs must be shot with pearl ammo. Acheloos will sail over all maps whilst Acheloosos will only sail from maps 6 – 15. If a player with a Pirate Level from 16 – 20 sinks the Acheloosos NPC, they will only get gold as a reward. Both NPCs will give rewards based on Damage Share as long as the players make at least 5% damage against them. Acheloos will give Cursed Souls whilst Acheloosos will give Cursed and Radiant Souls.

    Thesos and Theseus

Both of these NPCs must be shot with pearl ammo. Thesos will sail over all maps whilst Theseus will only sail from maps 16 – 20. Both NPCs will give rewards based on Damage Share. Thesos will give Radiant Souls whilst Theseus will give Cursed and Radiant Souls.

    Typhon

This powerful NPC must be shot with pearl ammo and could appear on all PvP maps. After Typhon has lost a certain amount of life it will become aggressive and shield zones will appear randomly. All players who are fighting the NPC should move as quickly as possible into these zones. Shortly after the zones are spawned, the Typhon will cause huge damage to all nearby players who are not inside one of the shield zones. Those inside the shield zone will only receive a small amount of damage.

Once Typhon has lost a little more damage, the shield zones will disappear and Typhon will no longer make the huge damage but instead just a normal amount of damage. After more life has been lost, Typhon will once again get angry and spawn more of the shield zones! As soon as a shield zone is spawned, you should make sure you are inside them as quickly as possible!

Typhon will give pearls as a reward depending on how much damage you cause against it as long as you make at least 2%. Typhon will also book items such as Askleios Talent (find out more about this item below), Kraken Ammo, Crystals and the Lost Love item, as long as you make at least 2% damage against it. Another item from the Typhon you could be lucky enough to win is the new pet! At first, if you manage to get the pet you will get the low level pet but if you sink the Typhon again and get the pet again you will be booked the high-level pet. In addition, the player who makes the most amount of damage against Typhon will get Elite Points!

Due to the feedback received about the Typhon Eel we have changed the mechanic of how the rewards are distributed. From now on, there is no required threshold you need to achieve before receiving a share of the pearls depending on how much damage you have made against Typhon. Because of this change, the pet will now be distributed to the players who make the most damage and last shot against Typhon. If a player already has the low-level pet and makes the most damage or last shot they will receive the high-level pet. If you already have both pets you will receive Kraken Ammo for each additional time you make the last shot or most damage against Typhon.
Kraken Ammo will cause a greatly increased amount of damage against all Event NPCs.

What else will happen during the event?

During the event there will be some special Quests for you to complete! The aim of the Quests is to find the Lost 7th Birthday Badge which wasn’t anywhere to be seen last year! Players will have to complete 7 quests in order to find it and for each completed quest there will be small rewards. Depending on what Pirate Level you are, you will get different quests and different rewards to achieve. The Pirate Level ranges are 1-5, 6-15 and 16-20. The quest givers can be found on various maps for you to find! Players can do all quests once per day (resetting at 1.05 am each day) if he has no other quest of this chain active and he is not eligible for the 2nd – 7th quest. The progress a player has achieved within an active quest will not be reset!

What rewards can I get from the Event Ranking?

Points can be obtained by making the last shot against any of the above Event NPCs. At the end of the event the top player on each server will get a unique and powerful Ship Design! This amazing Smuggler’s King design has the following stats:

Elite level 23-24: Bonus Damage: 15%, Bonus Hit Points: 71,000, Bonus Voodoo Points: 37,500.

Elite level 25-26: Bonus Damage: 16%, Bonus Hit Points: 77,000, Bonus Voodoo Points: 40,000.

Elite level 27: Bonus Damage: 17%, Bonus Hit Points: 83,000, Bonus Voodoo Points: 42,500.
It will also have 10% bonus on harpoon damage, no matter what your elite level is.

The next 4 players on each server will get an Aquarius Map and 5 randomly chosen players per server (who made it into the top 100 in the ranking) will get a Taurus Bonus Map.

What do the Event Treasure Chests contain?

The Event Treasure Chests contain various items including Kraken Ammo, the new Action Item Asklepios Talent and crystals. Upon opening an Event Chest, you are also guaranteed to get one Radiant Soul.

What can I do with all the Souls I’ve collected?

Cursed and Radiant Souls can be used to purchase items in the Black Market! These items include the new Ship Designs (available from 25th March, 12 noon local server time) as well as the pet and ship design from last year’s Birthday event. Other items available in the Black Market during the event include the Snake Keys, Kraken Ammo and Healing Ammo as well as cannons and various action items. Some new buff items; Carpenter’s Tools, Triton’s Grace and Overcharging will also be available. From 12 noon on 25th March you will also be able to get your hands on even more new buff items including Voodoo Doll, Reactivation Spell and Soul Thief. What stats will the new ship designs have?

There are two ship designs available in the Black Market depending on how many Souls you have managed to collect!

The lower level Smuggler’s Pride ship has the following stats:
Bonus Harpoon Damage: 10%, Bonus Hit Points: 30,000, Bonus Voodoo Points: 10,000.

The higher level Smuggler’s Honour ship has the following stats:

Elite level 0-22: Bonus Damage: 13%, Bonus Hit Points: 65,000, Bonus Voodoo Points: 32,500.

Elite level 23-24: Bonus Damage: 14%, Bonus Hit Points: 71,000, Bonus Voodoo Points: 35,000.

Elite level 25-26: Bonus Damage: 15%, Bonus Hit Points: 77,000, Bonus Voodoo Points: 37,500.

Elite level 27: Bonus Damage: 16%, Bonus Hit Points: 83,000, Bonus Voodoo Points: 40,000.
All the ship designs have a 10% bonus on harpoon damage, no matter what your elite level is.

What stats will the new pets have?

As with the ship designs, there are two new pets. Deimos, the low-level pet, has 25,000 Voodoo Points and a 5% extra chance of not getting hit. The high-level Phobos pet also has 25,000 Voodoo Points but 15% extra chance of not getting hit.

What does the Asklepios Talent Action item do?

The mighty Asklepios Talent Action item works like the Brothers in Arms action item but will heal an amazing 100,000 Hit Points. There will be a cooldown of 900 seconds in-between uses of this item.

What happens with my Souls and event keys at the end of the event?

The Cursed and Radiant Souls will be exchanged for in-game items at the end of the event. Specific details will be revealed nearer the end of the event. The Snake Keys will also be replaced by normal chest keys at a ratio of 1:1.
