Gather your allies, cutthroats! Typhon, one of the lightning-breathed Thyella Eels, is on the loose, and black marketeers everywhere are trembling with both fear and greed: this gigantic eel only shows its scaly face for a few short weeks. You'll go up against crews of monster-hunters and exotic creature-smugglers, as you take part in an exciting series of quests and form a pack to hunt for this rare and valuable beast. And if you've been sailing the seas for seven or more years, you might even find last year's lost badge!

With powerful new designs from the smugglers' secret shipyards, the new Asklepios' Talent, and a shocking duo of new pets, Seafight's anniversary is bound to be a blowout. Your exclusive birthday badge is ready and waiting!

Due to the feedback received about the Typhon Eel we have changed the mechanic of how the rewards are distributed. From now on, there is no required threshold you need to achieve before receiving a share of the pearls depending on how much damage you have made against Typhon. Because of this change, the pet will now be distributed to the players who make the most damage and last shot against Typhon. If a player already has the low-level pet and makes the most damage or last shot they will receive the high-level pet. If you already have both pets you will receive Kraken Ammo for each additional time you make the last shot or most damage against Typhon.

To help celebrate the Birthday Event we have introduced Confetti Ammo into the Black Market!

In addition, some shipwrecks have just been spotted on the lower maps (1-3) of the sea chart. These will delight the newer players who will be able to find all sorts of treasures inside including 50 pounder cannons! To help shoot them, Harpoons can be found in the Black Market for those players who are level 1 – 6! The shipwrecks have a tagging mechanic which means that once you make a shot against one of them they will be tagged to you meaning that if an enemy pirate tries to steal it from you, you will get the rewards anyway.

If you leave the shipwreck unsunk there will be a short time (a few minutes) before the shipwreck will once again become untagged and fair-game for all other pirates! If a shipwreck has been tagged its “name” will turn red so you know not to bother shooting it. If you tag a shipwreck and try to shoot something else, the initial tagging of the first shipwreck will be deactivated.

As you may have noticed, from 12 noon today (LST) 25th March, the two event Ship Designs and 3 brand new temporary Buff items are now available in the Black Market. In addition, you can now get hold of the souls you’re missing for the Ship Designs - souls are now available in the payment section to purchase!
