The lag....

...is making it simply unplayable. Period.

 

Global Europe 3 is unreachable since 11 PM CET and still not accessible ... Congestion error. Third day in a row. Well done BP.

 

yes same here zmaj , but each couple of days i open new thread out this .. and today iam waiting from 2 am till now , almost 3 hours , some of my ships can't event get one water Congestion error.
and the other when i get in water i rather prefer to kill my self than playing with this lags and now it's after our server restart with 15 min and still nothing changed
so today i say let someone else open a thread maybe mods take it serisly when they see another players complain not only me

We are aware of these problems, the team are constantly working on these as you will have seen from the many restarts. There is no need to continually report this.

 

Hi Shiver,

BP promised us all so much over the years and the majority of their promises have never been kept. The lag issue didn't occur yesterday it's been there for quite a long time. In other words it is for BP a known issue for a very long time and they are promising us for months they are working constantly on this lag issue. Am I right or am I wrong? As many other members I'm paying for this game so I guess I can at least expect that I can access the game and play. BP expects from us for years to be patient, to be respectful and to have the necessary understanding for the ongoing bugs, problems, etc,... I'm sorry but everybody should respect, understand each other, but this goes both ways and this isn't the case from BP's side. Does BP honestly think it is funny that for the third or fourth evening / night in a row the game isn't accessible? There is an event going on and this is a big lost for all us paying as well as free players. BP won't have any sleepless nights about that but we do. And yes this leads to big frustration for many of us. So I'll hope, Shiver, you can understand our point of view too.... There is a limit for everyone and everything and players aren't going to take this forever. Be honest if you buy a product or service from a company and it doesn't work as it should or as described and they keep promising to you that it will be fixed, replaced or whatever and it doesn't how much longer will you believe them and will you leave it like that?

 

Hey you get no argument from me. I do try and play to and I know how frustrating it is to get lag, connection problems or not even be able to get on the seachart.

I do appreciate that in general all players that have come on to the forum about these things have remained very calm in these difficult circumstances.

I can tell you that I do forward all complaints onto the team, I write a report each week describing all the issues, I talk directly to other teams members who are also facing the same problems.

The feedback I get is that it's being worked on. There have been additional restarts to try and combat this.

We are hoping that as much of this is possibly down to getting the transmogrification system up and running that once it is the game will be much more stable and much more fun for all. I do fully expect that their could be a few teething problems but sincerely hope that all this will have been worth it.

We do understand that it's very annoying and upsetting, please don't think that you just get a standard answer and we push it to one side as this really is not the case.

 

Shiver this is my last reply on this post as well as on the forum. First of all I had no intention to attack any Admin or Mod and IMHO I don't think I did. My post was entirely meant towards BP as a company, owner and producers of this game. I do know that Admins or Mods can't do anything to solve technical issues. There job is more or less meant to function as a middle man between the Seafight gaming community and BP. It's up to BP to solve them. I'm more then convinced that Admins and Mods do report all the issues they either detect themselves or that have been reported by us users. I also think, but that's a personal opinion, that the Admins and Mods on the English Forum are very professional and try to help wherever they can. Having said that I'll hope we managed to get this out of the world? I like to believe that the transmogrification system will bring some great positive changes to the game, let's hope so, but please try to understand that we as players like to see the proof first before we really want to believe it. That a new system, update or whatever you want to call it can show some minor errors is not abnormal but there is a difference between minor errors with no or minimal impact and errors that turn the game into a living nightmare. Let's be honest about one thing. Even if BP would manage to bring a fun and stable game again due to this transmogrification system I'm sure that not all the bugs that are in the game for years now will be resolved. And that is something a lot of players were praying for over the years. I know, I know Rome wasn't built in a day.... On the other hand this new system will bring next to a few new features also some additional costs again if you want to switch specs from one ship design to another. Why must BP always make this game more and more expensive. Of course I hear BP already saying it is not mandatory. Last but not least and this time I choose my words very carefully. Again I'm saying that I have no beef with any Admin or Mod on the English forum. I also think I have always been polite and respectful into my posts on the forum. Although, and again this doesn't count for you or any other Admin / Mod on the English forum, I do not fully agree about standard answers. And thanks to such a standard answer I will quit the game on September the 30th, when my premium will expire, forever and there will be no more return ever. Even if BP manages to bring back a fun and stable game. A decent company takes care of their customers and I always say where there's a will there's a way but apparently at BP there is no will nor a way. Sorry Shiver but I feel deeply betrayed, back stabbed and robbed by BP. As last words I like to wish all the players, all the Admins and all the Mods the very best of luck and sunshine in their lives.

Since I didn't bother much to get new designs from game lately, didn't throw in bokor or bought new ships(and we all know why I'm, among the others, reluctant to throw real money in this game at this point), I just wanted to play event and try to get design, for a change.

Event is unplayable due to lag.
As I write this, I'm trying to collect 5 shinys in a row around me in 2-1 map on GE4. Mission impossible. Log out. Another day of event without playing it.

Annoying ?! Upsetting?! Yes, but not too much, since it is just a game, not my life.
What I can tell you about my feelings is this:
I feel stupid. Stupid for trying to play broken game. Common sense tells me that this game is a waste of time now,but I'm still around, can't understand why...

Don't get me wrong, I love(d) this game.Why ? For me it's the game with great community, TS's especially,game pace just right for me, if I want to be in real time fighting and non stop action, I can, and if I want to play it casually while I watch a movie, I can do that also(bonus maps, shooting npc's, tentacles). And I love that old school rugged animation and 2D.

Another great feature, at least for me, is that I can play it sitting upright in front of the screen with my both hands involved, or I can almost lay down in my comfy chair, put legs up and play it with just hand on a mouse.

I think not many games around have all that. I tried some, but that real time games are too involving. Can play it for some time, then I get just tired.
This is the only online game I play continuously for over 3 years. Only game that could make me play all night, and then few in a row. No other real time game could keep me awake all night, laughing my a.s off on TS.

So I just want to play "my" game... Do I want too much ?!

Like Shiver, we are not arguing against you. We are here as players to advocate for you as well. We do indeed pass this information up along our chain of command each week to make sure your voice is sent along. We are glad to listen to all you have posted in this thread and will be sending it up.

For now however, I must close this thread as it is not a discussion section. As shiver has also stated, this is a known issue and is being worked on. We cannot offer anymore help on this issue unfortunately, so I will close this thread. If you wish to continue with this discussion, I encourage you to move over to the user section and post in there. We would love to hear your feedback there.
