    I came across a red coloured treasure chest.Unsure what it is, I tried to collect, it disappeared and no key was taken nor any reward given. Is this something new or a glitch Thank you

    As your fellow pirate stated there was a post about this and it is a glitch. If you pick them up you will not get nothing from them.
