Under the light

I went Under the Light during a battle to heal up and I noticed after I tried to ambush somebody the the light did not go off. At first since I was taking fire I thought it was just a graphics glitch, then I realized I wasn't being reacted to. Have the rules with this changed or is it just a bug? Even engage monsters and npcs nothing changes other than I'm not attacked back.

Its a bug and is being looked into... Many have complained about it...

 

I think it may be related to pet food. It either switched off when petfood (I think it was the petfood myself)wore off or when I engaged a Penelope. I did engage a siren and it did not but progamming wise this may be different enough. I didn't notice when the light went out, but it did prior to time expiring.
For what it's worth I did leave the battle once I realized the light remained on and functioning. Refresh didn't get it to reset and I didn't want to take unfair advantage of the bug for any that might complain (though God knows I wanted to). Nor did I take down the siren under the light.

 

Thank you for reporting this mate, are you sure it was not just a visual glitch? Could your fellow pirates still see you?

 

Very hostile people attacking an island I was defending did not engage me and event npcs Odysseus and Telemachus did not either. Also, siren did not attack me though I was attacking her, it'll be a cheap way for people to score pearls if not fixed. I was getting rdy to leave with my gf and she was still getting ready and I logged back in and the Light was on again after having extinguished shooting the Penelope earlier mentioned. I shot another Penelope and it went back out although I had an issue with losing benefits from the pet, HP and hit probability bonus and had to reset the pet, Activate/deactivate. I hope that answers the question. I'll check in later to see if there is anything else I might answer regarding this.
